- I THOUGHT THIS HOUSE WAS ABANDONED! Little did I know when I knocked the homeowner answered the door and she told me about this houses dark past!!! When I was mowing last weeks yard the code enforcement guy told me about this property right here. The homeowner of this house was going through a little but of a hard time and once the property got a little over grown she couldnt afford to have someone mow it and it got very overgrown. at first glance you would think it was abandoned. while I was working the neighbors told me they thought it was!

That is a good example of a yard unkempt because the owners are physically or financially unable to care for it. It is overgrown, but not cluttered with dead appliances, broken down lawn equipment, unused plastic refuse, empty beer and pop cans, and my all-time favorite the broken-down sun rotted trampoline! Thumbs up from me, I eagerly anticipate seeing the yard completely done. You're such a hard worker Al!

This guy works like I use to work, I’m going on 76 so I can’t do that any more but this is how I worked when I had a job to do, this little guy is amazing, and he’s one good human being, going around and working for free, we’ll he makes money on the videos but he has to put in one hell of an effort to get the video done, god bless you little man.
👍 to the code enforcement man. It's rare to find someone that cares enough about their community to get them some help rather than just write them another ticket that they can't afford. I hope the postman and any package delivery person sends a shout out to you because that alone just made that place look nice. And now I wouldn't be afraid to walk to the front door to deliver a package!

Your energy level is off the charts. The amount of work you get done in such a short amount of time is amazing. After you cleaned the roadway, I needed a nap. You do fantastic work, and I hope the income from TH-cam makes it possible for you to keep doing these good works! The world needs more people like you! Ya it's true. It's true It's just for filming. But not easy to do this thing ya, it's a hard work and his not selfish. because, he share what he got for salary in TH-cam for doing clean the yard for free. And some yard are huge and much grass and trees. It's not easy to clean that all.
Ya know, it's probably weird that I enjoy watching you mow and reclaim sidewalks, curbs and driveways while returning yards and landscaping to their intended beauty. Listening to the weed whacker, hedge trimmer and mower is so relaxing. There's a calming effect to it!

To me exposing overgrown sidewalks, driveways and walkways is the most back breaking work. You do an awesome job Al. Keep doing what you’re doing. ❤

I am only 5 minutes into video and wondering how he is doing that hard work by himself.
When I was young in the 70s & when my parents were young in the 50s our church group s & our neighborhood people men & boys mostly would all pitch in and do stuff like this. The wives would do helping if the wife / mom was sick. Times have changed so much, when anyone helps me with something wheelchair related , the least I can do is get them a cold drink or even a sandwich if they will take it. I can sometimes not help with some tasks but I do appreciate the help . This young man is amazing ❤
I just worry about this young man's health in the future. Specifically, his back. I did work like that for years. And I was petite with a medium build, and used push mowers a hand edgers, trimmers, etc. And then in my early 60's, I literally couldn't walk for 2 months. Back pain excruciating! Totally bedfast, needing extensive lumbar spinal fusion. Thanks to my neurosurgeon and his team, along with 1 month of in-hospital and 6 weeks in home physical therapy, walked with walker and usually just a cane now. But, yes, finding patios, sidewalks, and complete transformations were rewarding. I pray he doesn't encounter musculoskeletal issues when he was older. 🙏

I used to work in landscaping until I found out I have a skeletal problem that makes me prone to injury - I cannot tell you how much satisfaction I got watching this.
I love love love getting in those plants and dirt and seeing a beautiful yard in the end.
It feels like nearly instant gratification.
Not to mention the workout feels great on the body.

Mr Summers, as I was reading your post I literally saw this amazing idea. This happens quite often I'll see you here something and in my mind I see an incredible idea. And here it is! What if this amazing dude right here was to do something where he could say okay I'm going to need some volunteers to show up at such and such a place and then they go through whatever area he's already decided to hit and knock out a bunch of yards! Can you imagine how beautiful it would be for other people to be able to share in the experience of helping! See I'm OCD almost to a fault. Not the toothbrush to the baseboard kind of OCD but I am definitely OCD. And I love to clean. So I've had a cleaning business since 2007. But before that I was cleaning for other people. Even when I was little, if I got in trouble my mom would give me chores and I finally had to tell her... Mama I really enjoy cleaning so this is not punishment :-) So she spanked me :-) Then Dad took over! He started giving me chores! He kept me right next to him in the garage in the next thing you knew I was enlisting in the Air Force straight out of high school as a mechanic! Crazy stories have wonderful endings or incredible new beginnings! I live in Chiefland Florida. In a funny little shuttle bus that's not quite finished being built yet but when it is I know that I want to travel. I'm constantly telling people if I could get to your house I would love to clean for you but they're usually far away. Now I will be in a little shuttle bus where I can take my sweet dog and kitty with me and we can just drive to wherever we need to be. And clean for whoever we want to and whoever needs it! It's a feeling that you just can't imagine! Before and after the best is the happiness. But that's just me I guess I'm weird like that! So here's all the people who are weird like this! I would love to do a tag team where maybe I go with him and I clean the inside of the house while he works on the yard! Just a thought

My late husband and I had a lawn maintenance business decades ago when we were in Sarasota County and I know it's hard work to service the customers and maintain the equipment (something viewers don't see). I know you make a money by documenting what you do, but you really do it from the heart and it’s really refreshing to see. Your helping people, not exploiting them, like so many other channels do. Well done, you deserve every penny you make on TH-cam because you work extremely hard. I really hope that people manage to maintain their yards after all the effort you put in to get them to a manageable state. It would be such a shame if they just let it go again.

I think the edging is usually my favorite part of yard clean ups....it really frames the yard and gives it the punctuation mark of a manicured yard.

a few years ago i was gifted a edging attachment for my weedeater by my parents and a few days went by i decided to try it out. holy shit it makes the driveway and yard look so much cleaner
It really shows how "pavement" doesn't matter - nature can make it's own dirt and cover large areas with vegetation.
Almost like seeing a mini-version of a post-apocalypse city after 100 years where nature reclaims it.
This yard transformation is super awesome, and you are super for taking on this overwhelming yard project.
Thats a great thing what your doing. Giving a hand up can greatly give these people a renewed since of energy and feeling of organization that is greatly needed when dealing with depression.

There has been times where I used yard work to help relieve some aggression or just talked some thought out to myself. It’s so satisfying. If I was the homeowner and I needed help like that I would have been out there with him(if the homeowner is able to) or least making sure he was hydrated.(maybe that’s a southern thing). But that’s way too much to do alone. You did a amazing job.

I began watching this video expecting to hear a haunted house story about this home and someone like Lurch or Uncle Fester scaring you when you knocked on the door and scare your glasses off. But noooooo. No bone chilling paranormal ghost stories that I would have found interesting. But a horrible crime story, which I hate, even though I find them to be more of a horror story than the horrors. Nothing to watch this video for, right? I have been watching you tidy up this lady's yard with the patience of Job and the craftsmanship of a magician from the very start. Your sheer determination to clean up this yard, especially for how large it is and how big of a job it is, for free, is absolutely jaw dropping and awe inspiring. It looks so much better already. You seem to be putting the best of care into it as if it were your own. I can't believe I watched you scurrying around trimming weeds to the end. I can't wait to see the completed masterpiece. Yeah, maybe that's part of what kept me intrigued. That, and wondering why he started with the little edger, taking, and blowing and such instead of hopping on the lawnmower cutting that huge yard of grass first. Then going to the smaller tasks last. And is he going to trim all the little bushes lining the walkway down? Never had so many questions going through my mind about yardwork and landscaping. But not to fear, the man knows his stuff.

I had several different snakes. In fact 2 diff coral snakes 🐍 a friendly Large Black snake, plus several I actually didn’t know what they were. Mega diff spider species. My parents house 🏡 was on a cannel.

I didn't realize how much I needed to watch this. I have been in that position where my family and I have been struggling financially. As you were working, I was the one that felt relief. I think all the years of stress contributed to my own inability to control my own anxiety. I imagine this will be a burden lifted off their shoulders thanks to your kind act.
