    Nice video man , I also have a barrel grill myself . I’m going to do a hot and fast brisket . Will the snake method work for high temperatures also ? 350-375 degrees .

      Yeah. Is just a matter of adding more charcoal to the snake

    How do you know the specific number for the temprature to use?Like you go 230 for pork butt,but why not 330 or else?The reason that I can figure out is the low-temp cook could maintain moisture in protein while heating them up,but is that the only reason for it?Sorry to ask too much ,really confused.

      Its a personal preference slow and low or hot and faster. But the snake method is a technique where it tries to maintain the desired temperature that you desire to use. You do that by the amount of charcoal that you choose per pack to create the snake and by also using the vents as a secondary control measure. Good luck. 💪😁👍

    Does the snake method work with lump charcoal? I have a 20lb pork butt I'm probably going to be cooking for the next day and a half , low and slow. But I've only got lump charcoal and the shapes are all over the place.

    How do you know what temp is done?

    • @StatUpBox
      @StatUpBox  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can always search cooked internal temperatures for smoked meats depending on the type of meat. pork butt we like to go 190-195 internal temperature.
