    Do you have any idea why pitaya stalks suddenly rot?

    As a newbie I am happy that you did this video. Thank you for sharing it. This will be my first harvest of 12-14 fruits on chain link fence, patio trellis. The plant is about 4 years old with very little care. My chickens are the caregivers.

    Hey great stuff man, im from Trinidad and no one has the Trinidad variety 😂😂 how funny is that. How can i get a cutting of that variety im willing to pay for it.

      Ironically, I believe it is the same or very similar to Red Jaina. It got hammered last winter but did well in less shade now that I moved it. I can give you a cutting if you really want it.

    I’ve got a few paloras in pots rn.. due they rot out due to the cold? Usually or is it the heat stress usually I’ve seen in other countries they always use shade cloth for the yellows. Have you grown any Colombianas? If so how do you like them?

      They don't do well for me in zone 9b. I have both and have much better luck with Palora Grafted onto a hardy root stock. They rot out each spring if I grow them ungrafted.

    Hi Paul. My "American Beauty" started flowering very well! But no matter what i pollenated it with, with its own or a another self pollinating variety pollen source, they turn yellow after a while and fall off. Any suggestions?

    • @faltio69
      @faltio69 ปีที่แล้ว

      Most likely yours is Not AB. AB is self fertile so it should have fruited.

      @@faltio69 Thanks. I thought about that. Last night I polenated one with a different variety. A self fertile white flesh variety. I'll see what happens. 🙄
