My baby boy has the same problem, or disability if you want to call it that way, we are current in therapy but I don't really like it because I do all the work plus I don't have the experience but anyways God is being guiding me true this process....I put my baby on tummy time as much as possible then I constantly play with his arm only if he feels comfortable I have a small ball and put it I side his palm and he actually squeezed it and then that same small gel ball I put I. Under his armpit and that makes it a little uncomfortable for him so he starts to move his shoulder.....I also fold a small blanket and place it under his armpit while he sleeps. He is now 4 months and he is doing so good he now play on his mat and try to reach for his hanging toys I actually did take him two times to get a masage with this person's that work from home. I'm sharing this info with you all so that you trust your gut and do the best for your little one Good blessed our babies 🙏🙏🙏🙏
My baby girl is 2 months old and we are currently dealing with this. It's tough but I got faith that she will move her right arm. She's currently doing PT and we're going out of state next month to see a BPI specialist. I pray for strength and recovery.
Donmonique Richardson she will be fine I went threw this my daughter is 7 yr old be 8 next month she walk now she was the same she was weak on left side had problems moving her head

That was so soothing to watch. I am 32 years old and just learned of the name of my childbirth injury. My parents neglected to follow through with physical therapy for me as an infant and now I am suffering from years of improper for and nerve damage. I hope to seek physical therapy soon. Do you think it is possible to recover range of movement as an adult?

MS Love I meant to say she’s fine now. Thanks for your quick reply, I need all the encouragement I can get right now as I am a first time mom and a young one at that,no family member close by, my baby already spent 2 weeks at the hospital for treatment to reduce the pain he felt in his arm after birth, we wait to see a Neurologist soon . I hope for the best.

Very poor handling; the therapist isn't supporting the affected shoulder complex. During rollovers the weight of head should be partially borne by the therapist. Provision of somatosensory input to unsound arm isn't discussed. Positioning of unsound side during rest was left out and the 'football' prehension style leaves half the pelvis dangling midair!
madam jane i agree with you on the issue of poor handling by the therapist but doesn't call for a very poor handling comment you put up since you and i know the professionality of the comment " very poor" . that's if you are a professional therapist
