They replicated the Kenner Batman forever figure, there’s no other ideas or changing minds , it’s that simple , it’s just a call back to the 4-5 inch Kenner colors
The Schumacher cut is real David, do not doubt it. In fact, in summer of 2023 he held a theater screening where he was able to show the Schumacher cut to some fans. It was a digital copy if I recall correctly. I don't believe it was finished, but it definitely exists.
I kind of like Batman Forever, even if it isn't consistent with the two Burton movies. I wish we had the director's cut like with Superman 2 and ZSJL. Idk how soon I will get this wave, but I do like the Sonar and first Robin suits more than the B&R suits. That being said, the way Batman turned out made me wish McFarlane either makes the Panther suit or make the Sonar suit black
7:56 An iridescent silvery-black, or dark blue or black like in the Batman Forever Metal Trading Cards, would have been really cool. Because depending on the lighting, the Sonar Batsuit would appear to be a different color. Too bad McFarlane had to go and false advertise. Fun fact: a black version with the Panther Suit belt was used by Christopher Nolan during auditions for the lead role in Batman Begins. 8:56 The grapple gun isn't screen accurate. Movie version had three hooks and they were all folded in the up position. It also doesn't go with this suit. He switched to wrist-mounted grappling hooks after equipping the Sonar Batsuit.
I like this wave a lot (mainly due to nostalgia) one thing I had to change right away was cutting down Robins wrist blades they were just way too long and it's such an easy fix you just cut them on an angle and it's a huge improvement
As someone who never cared that much for the Sonar Suit, I actually kind of like that black and blue color scheme better. That silver belt annoys me though.
Great review. The Batman figure is the most disappointing, it is not even consistent with his look in the film. McFarlane should have just repackaged the Movie Collection version, which was excellent. Not everyone was able to get it. I really hope we get the Panther suit figure as a Chase or Platinum figure. I feel like it is inevitable at this point. That would have greatly improved this wave in my opinion. The Robin figure is by far the best figure, IMO.
It's to pander to "collectors". You obviously know when you get a limited set and then they take each figure from that set and release them individually the people that shelve for "investments" get angry. So, the easy response, is a new paint job/minor changes to show a significant difference. I perilously didn't get the 6-pack because I didn't want Bale or Battenson an was waiting for Batman Returns/Forever/& Robin figures that will get posed together. I actually like the newpaint on Forever. But.I also caved and got the whole &Robin set because I "neeeeeded" Arnold Freeze. He's wicked cool.
They just reused the same Val Kilmer figure from the 6 pack which is also the final suit at the end instead of the one we had at the first half of the movie with the yellow and black emblem
I really think the actual screen worn sonar suit has black gloves and black boots maybe even a black cowl it’s just that the blue on the suit and the black on the gloves and boots has a very similar finish it kind of hides the color difference
Is it just me or is this the first time McFarlane has done soft goods cape? Much better for the figures if im being honest, cant recall if this was done for other figures. It might get me to start collecting McFarlane if were getting more soft goods
U did an outstanding job on this review. My goodness. Except I have to correct you, my cousin Tommy Jones, has not always looked' old' you want to check the movie he did in the70's about him taking over Central Park😀
My question is, will he release a 66 batmobile in that scale? The one he made for the smaller scale is to small for the figures, and he seems to be releasing Batmobiles for the others.

@@tombowling8646 so far you aren't wrong. Look at his BvS Batfleck figure, he looks nothing like Afleck. Meanwhile a licensed Chinese company called Fondjoy made a spectacular Batfleck figure that swipes the floor with the McFarlane one.
I honestly loved McFarland before I have been a spawn fan for years but with this and the mid evil spawn crap I'm done with him he is just a money grab in person. Like if you did the stuff fans want you would make money but no he has to screw us some how.

The two I'm most excited for are Two-Face and Robin, but especially Two-Face!
I got the Batman and Robin figures. I don't need Riddler and Two Face. Hated them both in the movie. Like #10... Bat Toast
