konnichiwa minna-san 🤗 hello from japan 😍😍😍 i'm currently on a trip with my friends but this was our pre-designated solo days so join me on my day trip from tokyo to see mount fuji! this day was hands down one of my favouritest day ever as i managed to cover every single spot on my check list and the weather was. so. perfect. i'm so so thankful 😭

📝 itinerary
here is my rough itinerary/day trip guide:
1) 7.15 am: take the express bus from shinjuku station - link for tickets: www.highwaybus.com/gp/inbound...
2) 9 am: drop off at shimoyoshida station
3) 9.15 am: 15 min walk to honcho street
4) 10 am: 20 min walk and hike up to chureito pagoda
5) 11.20 am: 10 min walk to shimoyoshida station
6) 11.30 am: take 2 buses to oshino hakkai (use google maps)
7) 3.30 pm: take a bus to kawaguchiko station (use google maps)
8) 4.15 pm: 5 min walk to lawson
9) 4.45 pm : 10 min walk to kawaguchiko lake
10) 6 pm: take the express bus from kawaguchiko station back to shinjuku - same link as above
* disclaimer that the walks and bus timing intervals can be long so follow this at your own risk (or rent a car instead haha)

yes you can use suica for the public buses that run in that area! you'll only need to book tickets for the express highway bus from shinjuku to shimoyoshida

How far in advance did you have to book bus tickets? Can i purchase them at Shinjuku bus station?
did you use any sort of tripod when filming the vlog? or do u just use your hands LOL. I’m going alone as well so im worried I cant take nice shots with my hands only🤣
Talk about being lucky being able to see Fuji-san in such clear skies. Quick question how were you able to get the suica card? Last I heard they stopped most IC cards because of ship shortages and now are relying on digital ones.
yup they no longer produce physical cards. my suica card was from a friend who had been to japan before. what you can do is to set it up in your phone’s e-wallet and top-up from there! (i’m afraid i won’t be able to advice much on that process though as i didn’t do it, but there are many guides on it out there!!)

the ticket needs to be booked in advance as the suica does not work for this express bus! you will need to scan the ticket to board

Did your bus alight right at Shimoyoshida station or its a distance from the train station along the expressway?
the second one! it’s a short distance away from the train station but the walk is really pretty and peaceful so i would still recommend it 🥰

select it as destination and you can click on the “timetable” to view the exact timings and stops that it goes to

yes you can! there are public buses and trains that connect the 2 places - u can probably use google maps for that
