Talking about RARE star wars Items, Before Grand pop retired he use to work for Kenner factory in the Janitorial Department and what he had to throw away would make him a millionaire today, for example, a White Darth Vader figure when Vader turned back to the light at the end of ROTJ they made a white figure but decided to not go with it , another figure he found was a Uncle Owen figure plus what look like a Captain Antilles figure but they all has to go to the grinder. not to be seen again.

I always used to look at the men’s T-shirts at the thrift store. It’s were most of the movie T-shirts would end up. Plus, they were only about $2 and fit me better since I’m 5’11”. I still bought ones I liked, even if they were a different size, so I could display them. I once found a vintage iron-on Ghostbusters muscle tee.
I gave you & Russ 5 stars on Spotify.

Empire Strikes Back arcade game was just a kit upgrade for a Star Wars cabinet... same cab with Empire decals for sideart and the Empire marquee. Game itself is kinda blah but the AT-AT Walker stage makes up for the other lackluster ones. The Return of the Jedi arcade is rarer than the Empire one.

Yes I saw that what's the story there? Why would a dog do that? Does he like to watch the game? It looked like he looked up to see if was on. Come on Junk man tell us what's going on there.

Also, I loved the return of the Jedi red sparkle autoloading pencil. As a kid it felt like having your own lightsaber as you would push one of the leads in the back to make a fresh point come to the front of the pencil.

I had that, and I loved it too. I also had the erasers and the ROTJ Trapper Keeper with B-wings on it.

Back in the late 70s/early 80s t-shirt stores where you picked the design, and they'd basically iron-on the design to a shirt. Those Star Wars ones are rare as hell now (especially unused) as everyone bought them but they fell apart easily. But they're not too expensive when found. Early 80s Star Wars vending machine stickers are also rare-but-not-expensive.

I had cheesy iron-on shirts from ROTJ, I had a yellow shirt with a photo of Wicket W. Warrick, the 'frame' was illustrated with wood and lashed vines, and the font for his name was this odd balloony lettering nothing like one would associate with Star Wars. I also had an orange shirt, with the same lashing frame motif, but this one was a cast photo from Endor based upon their costumes, Han in his long coat, Luke and Leia in camouflage ponchos, Chewie, R2-D2 and C-3PO with trees and greenery in the background. This time, no strange font, just the rectangular Return of the Jedi logo. I also had a light blue t-shirt with a silkscreen image of similar photo, only this time was an obvious painting, or interpretation. (Also, the logo was the long strip of the sentence Return of the Jedi, not the rectangular one). I owned this months before the movie premiered, and at the time, had no idea what the costumes meant. Was good for bragging rights when I was 11, though!

I live in Chicago. There is a store named Strange Cargo. They have tons of those old iron-ons. jaws, Star Wars, Dukes of Hazzard etc.

Ironically, I had that Endor Leia toothbrush as a girl, but I never heard of the shampoo. BTW, the bounty hunter from Ep. I is Aura Singh.

I got excited when you mentioned the shampoo thinking that was the bottles that were shaped like the characters. I had Luke Skywalker and the cap was actually his helmet from his X-Wing outfit.

When I started collecting vintage I saw the Teacher's Aid kit on eBay. It was selling for under a $1,000. I went back and forth on pulling the trigger until it sold. I just couldn't buy it because I had no reference on if it was a good or bad deal. Now I wish I'd bought it...

I had three ceramic lamps--R2D2, Darth Vader, and Yoda. I'm not sure how rare they really were but they were only sold as molds. I had an aunt with a ceramics shop and she made and painted them for me. Sold 'em for about fifty bucks each. And, hey, let's see some more of Junkyard Dog!

I don't know how rare my favorite elusive item is, but I can't even find a .jpg of it. My local library, in their kids section, always had a poster of Yoda with a book. The caption said "Read. And the Force is With You." I already loved to read, by then, and wanted one just like theirs. I don't know what happened to their poster, if someone finally threw a fistful of cash at them to look the other way, and take it, but it's no longer there.

Harrison notoriously hates signing autographs, he's somewhat against his handwritten name becoming a form of currency. Unfortunately, and counterproductively for him, he has driven up his own price, with its scarcity!
