- Been a while since we did a Girls Und Panzer scene analysis! This time, we'll be taking at a scene from Das Finale Part 2, which is a very impactful and important one, but easily overlooked.
Girls Und Panzer again relies on visual storytelling to convey a lot in a short period, demonstrating that the creators have a deep understanding of how to best utilize the medium of animation for storytelling purposes.
Character work, raising the stakes, and a wholesome moment all in one! Let's take a closer look.

Couldn't agree more about Momo during the show I thought she was just one of the characters that seem uptight and unapproachable but this scene just proves that she really is just doing her best to work hard to help her family and to be able to go to the same university as her friends
Yep, my respect for Momo rose. Also one of my favorite scenes in the Das finale films
Momo is my heart and soul. Love everything about her. I'm somewhat spoiling Das finale for myself but I love what they've been doing with my favourite character since Episode 1
I'm gonna cry so hard when this series ends. Knowing this 6 parter is not just the end for GuP but the end of the line for a character who became my nickname in high school because of my own personality. I'm gonna miss this series

First rate analysis! Truly an important scene.
This truly was a beautiful scene. I want to say a lot, but you said enough. This was Momo as she truly is, where we see what the stakes really are. We and Saori now know the true gravity of the situation. This isn't about victory. This is Momo's very livelihood, and that of her family's, at stake here. Momo shows here what she has been doing behind the scenes, and why she did what she did throughout the show, to both the audience and to her PR replacement/successor Saori. And with that the future student council now works even harder for Momo's sake and Saori has newfound respect and admiration for Momo. I could say more but this video says everything that is needed. Thank you for the continued analysis videos for GuP and other animes. Congratulations on hitting 1k subs. And I hope you can do more analysis videos about the individual girls, or even groups of girls/schools like Anzio, Saunders, Pravda, or St Gloriana, in the future.
I have a theory that Oarai might lose the final battle, but Momo showed such good leadership that Darjeeling helps her to get into university. I think it most likely that Oarai wins though. My belief is that when Momo and Darjeeling are dualing in part 6, Momo switches places with Anzu and controls the gun. At the climax, Momo will say something like "everyone is doing so much for me, I cannot let their efforts go to waste." And while Darjeeling understands Miho's tactics better than anyone, she might miss read Momo.
It is possible, the conflict is not predicated on their victory, hell it's not even guaranteed that she will get a scholarship if they win. It is entirely possible that they will lose but still get her onto a sponsorship through performance alone.
Really when I think about it,
Girls und Panzer started off for me as like a goofy anime with some girls and tanks. But as I moved on, I was shocked by the depth of some things and the historical accuracy (KV-2 falling over at an incline when turning the turret, German heavy tanks suffering with mechanical breakdown, etc.), and now that you bring up stuff like visual storytelling, it really is clear how much effort the writers of GuP put into the "cute anime girls inside of world war two tanks series".

One video you should do is about Mika saying that senshado has all of the essential qualities of life.
One thing I have noticed in part 4 is that the White Witch (White Death) did not take out the flag tank. My thinking is that Mika will not allow it. Leading to a better match, and sportsmanship

Momo glasses are broken yet she still use it. Remember one time i did exactly use my glases like this. And i say its prety funky to see
I think this is also why she wears broken glasses because she doesn’t want her family to spend money on her but her siblings as you see her younger sister having a full non broken pair. She probably had a normal pair but broke them and just told her family that she would be fine with out them and probably told them that her younger sister need them more.This is also probably why she has bad aim because she has only one good eye.
With Momo being the highlighted character in Das finale films, this scene was really important to help the viewers understand her and support her. I know it worked for me, even so Momo became one of my more favored characters. Great video, it's great you can analyze these things and show why Girls und panzer is a show better than people...... I mean why it's a great show. Much thanks bro

It's really sweet to see the girls all band together for Momo. She does so much work for everyone and they're really giving it their all so she can pass.
And, it's also fun seeing her lose her mind and realizing Miho's job as Tank Commander is not as easy as she makes it look XD
