- Hey guys, welcome to another studio vlog! Hope you've been doing well.. It has been some busy couple of months for my small business! In December not only I attended my first even convention in Spain, buuuuut I also opened my first ever Pop-up shop!
Get ready with me, let's make a lot of DIY products and also test some DTF printing on sweatshirts! I chat about how I organized for my market stall, how I decided on how much stock to take and also chat about how it all went.

Hi there! My name is Beatriz Penas and I'm a portuguese illustrator, nice to meet you! I've been taking my illustration more seriously and making a business out of it since the beggining of 2019. I'm always trying to create more illustrations and more products and I thought it would be nice to share my process! Hope you like my vídeos and my work.
Your table/display skills are out of this world, you're such an inspiration, I can't imagine your products looking any better!
Anime conventions are really target-specific ^^; you'd have to research popular series and trends in fandoms and create products based for that... yeah, that's a lot of work if you're not a part of the community.

I think you should keep your pop up shop open all the time (with very specific hours to your liking). It’s so cute! As people grow accustomed to seeing your sign and passing by, I’m sure you’ll get more foot traffic and your regular customers can come back.
If you use it for your studio or photography, I’m sure people wouldn’t mind seeing photos with your shop stuff in the background. :)
Great job running your small business! Such a huge learning curve. I always feel like I have no idea what I’m doing, but you just keep going and if somehow all works and comes together! 😅😂😊 happy new year. 🎊

I agree with Jen 😊 Maybe only during weekends or something like that.
Anyway, if you decide to give it another shot, I’d have music on, people feel intimidated and uncomfortable when a store is quiet, especially if they’re the only costumers and of the owner is there (same thing when you’re showing houses), so I’d suggest music and that you bring something for you to do while you’re there, plus I think the costumers would enjoy watching the creative process. As much as I love your work content, I really love it when you are out and about. Portugal look beautiful and so interesting. I live in northeastern Texas. While beautiful as well, not nearly as much history as what surrounds you!

Usa o Notion para anotar a suas vendas é bem fácil. Amei tudo mas principalmente o Pop-Up foi o meu favorito. A próxima volta deixa o teus panfletos em escolas, cafeterias, shopping ;)

Hiii! I rather not do any video about this because: 1 - it depends on the countries your in, every country as different rules, names for things, etc; 2 - it really depends on your situation, for example here in Portugal it depends if you have a full time job or not, you'll need to make different things... there's a lot of different rules and exceptions; and 3 - I'm not an expert and all of this should always be discussed with an accountant 💛

Alô Bia, acho que o que te pode ajudar em convenções e mercados em termos do stoque e o que vendes é uma app se sistema de POS. Tipo como os restaurantes. Há vários apps grátis para o telefone, é encontrares o que funciona para ti, podes pôr no iPad ou algo assim para te ajudar nas vendas fora do estúdio. Beijos ❤
It's hard not knowing the exact setup for a new market so you can plan really well especially with lighting because customers will just walk past a dark area. I noticed some people just used the space under the lights and then sometimes your space is set up that you can't even get out behind the table which I've had before
It’s very tricky isn’t it? We always have a plan but then we get there and we have to change everything 😂 really looking forward for a more well lit convention lol

Honestly I had good results with this transfer paper but after one wash it was bad results on a tote bag that I made of my character. I made a video about it. I would love a tutorial on doing it properly. Not sure what I am doing wrong.
I had a few people saying the same! Are you using an iron or a press? I think it's all about the amount of pressure and getting all the settings right!!
@@aPenasIllustrator The Circut Heat press. Not sure where I made a mistake. But a lot of big TH-cam use the transfer for their business. And there’s lots of good reviews. But in my case it’s not working. Maybe I need better heat press?
