Yes, I did. 2 of the 3 helpers are already employed by me and get a monthly salary +1.0K € each from me whether we go to a convention or not. 500€ is just what I gave them for this convention specifically on top as a thank you for helping. So I don’t see the problem…? But feel free to let me know what’s wrong about that 🥰
I'd deadass wrap my shit around that pillar. Use it as extra surface area to display my goods. I paid for that space so I'm going to USE that space!! 😂🤣🔥 Edit: Just watched more of the video and I see you did just that, good girl! Work smarter, not harder! 😆😎👍🏽
It was actually prohibited to do so and I got told off by staff at the end of the convention…. Sooo yea, paid a lot of money for it, wasn’t allowed to move, wasn’t allowed to use it… total waste of space in my opinion 🫠😭
@@thebunbunshop that's utterly horrible! At least you used it tho. The least they could do is inform people ACCURATELY and give a discount for such poor positioning! Great video tho! And glad everything turned out alright! 💗👍🏽

Thank you for sharing the numbers! I understand that it’s scary to share, but it’s great to hear what is possible at conventions in Europe, as most vlogs I’ve seen so far are conventions in the US. It’s awesome to see ‘local’ small businesses 😊 it makes me dream about being at a convention one day!
But she didn't give you all the figures. The costs of materials and labour for the products that were sold were not included in this cost rundown. I'd suspect she still made profit but it's much less than 20k.

I love your stand design and when I visited I didn’t noticed the pillar. You perfectly worked around it✨ Really nice video and props to you and your helpers. I get stressed out visiting cons but standing there all day must be super hard 😵💫
Personally I would have just used the pillar as my personal commercial wall xD Your sons cosplay was sick btw! Positively eerie even though I don't know what it is.
You weren’t allowed to decorate the pillar… we already got told off because we hung a few prints on it :/ It was really weird because before the con they told me: “just decorate it! It’s gonna be fine” and once we were there I was told: “why did you put prints on the pillar? Nothing is allowed to be attached to the pillars” It was… weird :(
@@thebunbunshop You shouldn't let them talk to you like that. I get that it's their space but you had an agreement and they can't just backtrack on that. >:( Gotta be loud and proud! (as long as it stays respectful obviously)
Even though you had an unfortunate pillar, closeness to the stage most likely gave your booth an advantage over others, because people kept walking past it all the time (and if I didn't have much time to explore the merch offerings, I'd go for the ones that are closest to the stage).
You’re right, that might be but the convention had a total of 4 stages, at different locations, so I’m not sure how much it played into it. It just felt very crowded at points because people were watching the stage shows and it was hard to move around them.

Your booth looks very nice. Somehow I never manage to attend this convention, despite it being not that far away. Too many other events in fall and next year I will be on vacation...
Oh that’s too bad! Definitely worth checking out when you got time - the con has grown a lot over the past couple of years and it’s nice to have a bigger convention in northern Germany! ❤️
Great video. Cute stuff. I can’t stop looking at that cute plush bunny behind you. Is there a pattern for that one. Available? So cute. I loved the blankets too. Wishing I could go to these fun events.
Vielen lieben Dank!
I saw a video in a condo where a girl put ratchet straps over l brackets around a pillar and rested a curved shelf over the l brackets. Maybe if you encounter this again you could use it for shelf space.
Hey small question, how do you find out which conventions take place and where? I would love to attend but i somehow am totally out of the loop! Thanks for the video and great job on the sales! ❤
I just google “anime/manga convention + location”. That normally does the trick! it also helps to follow a lot of other small biz owners in your area. If I see my mutuals attend a convention, I google it, so I can attend the following year ❤️
I think y'all made the pillar/pole work to your advantage as best as you could all things considered! I really like how you added your prints to it and improvised to make it work with your display! It definitely would have drawn me over to your table and looked super artistically pleasing albeit annoying for y'all. :) Lastly.... Polaris Convention? More like Pole-aris convention, amirite? I'll see myself out.
Wowwww i would spend my entire salary at a convention like that but i. Never went to one as my parents know that very well so they dont allow me to such events..... But atleast once i wanna visit one con.... And your stuff is amazing 🤩😮❤❤❤ love them....
the pillar was so infuriating and you handled the issue really well! My customer service/marketing side would want to refute their gaslighting points so bad!!! Sorry you were treated poorly
i loved your video, so informative! you did not include product costs in that 4-5k for the convention, right? do you have any idea how much "pure" profit you turned (excl. tax)?
Nope. I never include production cost for conventions, since I only do 2-3 cons a year and I do have an online shop that is open year round. I never buy products “just” for a convention, so including this in the calculation feels like a hassle for me. I obviously do have production cost/profit calculated for a whole year of business/products sold, but not specifically for conventions, sorry ; A ;
I wanna go to a convention so bad 😭 this city has like no conventions, like one a year and I already missed it this year if they even did it again!(I went last year)
My city has no conventions either :( I have to travel to go to conventions too. I wish there were more local cons to me but I guess I life a bit to rural for that 😅
Do you have any tips or can you explain where you get the topper for your booth? The pink and white striped cardboard looking one with the scalloped edges??? I've been looking for something like that forever! Edit: I just got to the part where you said how much you made....DANG!
@@thebunbunshop Did they cut it to size for you or did they print on a sheet and you had to cut it out? Also there's no shame in having a booth mullet 🤣
Thank you for the transparency, this was really inspirational! Btw where did you get that brown bunny behind you on the right? 13:11 It looks sooo fluffy and cute! I'd love to get one too!
It’s from @ strawberri.bun over on IG - they are a Canadian small biz that just started out this year and when I saw they made crochet bunnies I just HAD TO order the biggest one they offered ❤️
I’d love to visit these sorts of things but I’m a proper kleptomaniac and the last thing I would want to do is shoplift from small businesses and artists 😢 so I avoid these sorts of things at all cost. I’m working on it at my DBT sessions so maybe someday 🙏🏻 Your work is lovely!
Thank you sm and sorry to hear you’re going through this issue. Though I think it’s a really nice experience to see a small business in person, maybe online shopping is the way to go for you. I assume it’s a compulsive thing, so online shopping is probably a safer way for you to approach this! Wishing you all the best ❤️
Don't feel bad about being too tired for going out after the convention (especially Saturday!) - I don't know how others do it, especially the after-party. XwX I'm happiest if I have an airbnb where I can just cook up something small and eat in a _silent_ environment. XD (+ 1 ♥ für Jürgen XD)
Heyy i could notice your not in america or anything like that are you perhaps from Germany? (I noticed you are in Germany but i wasn't sure if you are from there cause that's what's it like by me i live in Germany but i am not from there)

I would have put so much adverts on that dumb pillar and if they say something, I'm saying something back. Spent too much damn money to be blocked by a pole. 😤
I am most definitely not rich and this is not comparable to a normal persons salary 😅 That’s not my money, it’s the business money and almost all of it gets reinvested to make new products, pay taxes and pay my employees. That’s an important difference.
As mentioned in the video I paid around 2500€ for my vendor booth (that’s incl taxes & electricity & extra badges). I think a normal table in the artist alley was around 200€ish
These two are not comparable. 100€ is a lot of money, especially when starting out or when you’re only having smaller products like stickers and prints! 🥰
2 of the 3 helpers are employed by me and get paid every month whether we go to a conventions or not (which is why I didn’t include it). I only include what I gave them on top for the convention. Hope that helps.
You spent more on your room than paying your workers for 2 1/2 days work???.
Yes, I did. 2 of the 3 helpers are already employed by me and get a monthly salary +1.0K € each from me whether we go to a convention or not. 500€ is just what I gave them for this convention specifically on top as a thank you for helping.

If I see my mutuals attend a convention, I google it, so I can attend the following year ❤️
I love your designs so cute congrasts on a great show lol Amy
I think y'all made the pillar/pole work to your advantage as best as you could all things considered! I really like how you added your prints to it and improvised to make it work with your display! It definitely would have drawn me over to your table and looked super artistically pleasing albeit annoying for y'all. :)
Lastly.... Polaris Convention? More like Pole-aris convention, amirite? I'll see myself out.
I would love to get the bunbun bag in smaller. I have multiple of the original size and they are a bit too big for my needs. Lots of love !
That’s why we have our BunBun Mini Bags! :) or are those too big? I don’t think we will go smaller than that.
@@thebunbunshop No, they are perfect! Thank you !
10:13 that dinosaur LOL!
Came to comments because of this moment 🤣
Wowwww i would spend my entire salary at a convention like that but i. Never went to one as my parents know that very well so they dont allow me to such events..... But atleast once i wanna visit one con.... And your stuff is amazing 🤩😮❤❤❤ love them....
the pillar was so infuriating and you handled the issue really well! My customer service/marketing side would want to refute their gaslighting points so bad!!! Sorry you were treated poorly
6:55 BEIDOUU
The booth is gorgeous and your voice is enticing and powerful. Thanks for sharing! I love pink 💖💖💖💖
Waaaaah thank you so much!
awesome video 😊
i loved your video, so informative! you did not include product costs in that 4-5k for the convention, right? do you have any idea how much "pure" profit you turned (excl. tax)?
Nope. I never include production cost for conventions, since I only do 2-3 cons a year and I do have an online shop that is open year round. I never buy products “just” for a convention, so including this in the calculation feels like a hassle for me.
I obviously do have production cost/profit calculated for a whole year of business/products sold, but not specifically for conventions, sorry ; A ;
@@thebunbunshop i see, makes sense! thank you so much for answering :)
I ordered them from a German company who offers printing on mdf foam boards. I diy’ed the whole thing 😂 it’s held up by duct tape and love
@@thebunbunshop Did they cut it to size for you or did they print on a sheet and you had to cut it out? Also there's no shame in having a booth mullet 🤣
@@arealworm They did cut it to size for me!
XD
(+ 1 ♥ für Jürgen XD)
... maybe we are just old.
We are definitely getting old 😂 but also, you’re so right! There is nothing better than being back at the hotel and it’s QUIET xDDDD
12:38 Did you make this bunny plush yourself? :o It's so adorable!
Omg, I'm saying the same thing. I want the bunny plushies!!! >:0
Could they not have put the table in front of the pillar instead of behind it so it didn't block the view of your table?
Oh my goodness why would they put the table right there with the pillar like that 🤦🏻♀️ glad you made the best of it
Heyy i could notice your not in america or anything like that are you perhaps from Germany? (I noticed you are in Germany but i wasn't sure if you are from there cause that's what's it like by me i live in Germany but i am not from there)
🥰
First time watching any of your videos and as soon as I saw those blankets I /had/ to know if you also made deskmats, but alas I see you don't 😔 Your stuff is very cute and if I happen to see you at a con I will 100% have to buy something! 😍
I just released my first desk mats on Halloween for preorder 😂 they’re in my online shop ❤️
Well if I am assigned a table with a pillar they better be prepared that i will use this pillar for advertising too or else I would not be back lol.
Oh I would spend a good 15 minutes trying to figure out what I can get there.
Too bad you couldn’t arrange the tables to wrap around the pillar. You made the best of it though
I asked before we started setting up and they told me no :/
aaaaaa I want you in Finland
I would have put so much adverts on that dumb pillar and if they say something, I'm saying something back. Spent too much damn money to be blocked by a pole. 😤
hello there that bag u have said C&A where's that from please? thank u
It’s from C&A 😂❤
I REALLY need to know, Who is this artist??
10:05
4:57
8:28
4:57 @hnys.art, 8:28 @maruminnn_, 10:05 @maiberry.art they are also all tagged in the haul at the end of the video
omg gurl you're rich!!!
for some people that's an entire year salary
I am most definitely not rich and this is not comparable to a normal persons salary 😅
That’s not my money, it’s the business money and almost all of it gets reinvested to make new products, pay taxes and pay my employees.
That’s an important difference.
How much was it to be a seller there?
As mentioned in the video I paid around 2500€ for my vendor booth (that’s incl taxes & electricity & extra badges).
I think a normal table in the artist alley was around 200€ish
@thebunbunshop ok. Thank you. I thought that's what I read in the CC but wanted to make sure.
@thebunbunshop I wanted to convert that to USD and that's an insane amount for a spot.
15:04 not sure if you know but that sticker says fuck in polish LOL (translating from kurwa)
Das klingt mysteriös! Ich bin gespannt O v O;
i have a baaag i have one ahhh it´s my favorit now qwq
Which one did you get? 👀💦
@@thebunbunshop the Fluffy one !! 😍✨✨✨
I over here wondering, if I can spend 100 euro on a table per meter and if it’s worth it! 😂
These two are not comparable. 100€ is a lot of money, especially when starting out or when you’re only having smaller products like stickers and prints! 🥰
just 500 for the helpers seems utterly bad. Thats way less than the min. wage in germany
2 of the 3 helpers are employed by me and get paid every month whether we go to a conventions or not (which is why I didn’t include it). I only include what I gave them on top for the convention. Hope that helps.
