when i was in thailand 2 months ago i order a grab but it was by the hour and we paid 1000 baht for 4 hours to travel any where inside of the city of bangkok but there was another option for 1500 baht or 2000 baht for 4 hours any where outside of bangkok and we used that to go to 4 different restaurants that gary visited and the driver just waited for us nearby while we were eating and i would just call him on line to have him come pick us up in front and take us to the next restaurant. so maybe you can try that and don't forget to tip the driver.
Wow🤩✌the footage from above was so ecxciting ! I have never been to this market, but i must see this crazy most incredible famous place with my own eyes ! Thy! Gary superb👍🙏
Great video Gary! Loved this one! I'm sure this has been suggested before but I'd love to see you duplicating Paddy's 77 province tour but with a more food focus. I realize it's more difficult for you due to the family but you should really consider it 😊 Thanks for the great vid Mate!
Loved this one, That bowl of noodles looked so tasty! In 2001 my buddy and I took a bus to the Damnoen Saduak floating market, had a bite there, hired a longtail to take us toward Samut Sakhon, got off on a log at the end of the Khlong, got in the back of a big truck with bench seats and he took us into Samut Sakhon where we wandered the markets ate some more food and then took the train back into Bangkok. Long day but it was so much fun! I think you might find some good food in Samut Sakhon, it's been over 20 years since I was there but it was great back then and if you like fresh seafood it really shines, the boats bring it right into town just below the Maha Chai rail station to a wholesaler.
Love the video Gary. Thanks for all your effort to show us the real Thailand. Went to train market yesterday. Absolutely loved the noodles and such lovely people.
Hello there young man I'm glad to see you went to the different parts of Thailand, even me I were Born in Bangkok but I never been aware within the in side the country I am delighted to be watching your videos. .
Alright, the restaurant you took to is awesome. It's legendary for locals. Noticed from the decoration, it's not flashy but the taste is delicious. Thank you very much.
Samut Songkhram is the smallest province in Thailand. You can rent a homestay to live in the middle of the sea. Or visit Wat Bang Kung, where the trees surround the ordination hall, used to be the location of King Taksin's encampment in battle against the Burmese army. or fireflies and Amphawa Floating Market
Always wanted to check it out but never been because I figured it was a tourist trap. Now that I know there’s a 100 year old noodle shop it’s on my go to list 🚞🍜
Great vlog Gary. My wife and are going to visit the train market and for the pork noodles when we visit Bangkok in December. What time do you reckon we should arrive there for and is it everyday?
I ventured here four years ago and did the selfie thing. Despite not being a foodie aside my Green Egg being currently lit with a prime Picanha on tap. there is outpost nearby with a picturesque village, where I viewed and sampled all treatments related to coconuts. It was a tourist stop one way to Kwai, but a damn good stop. Great thing about not being in Thailand yet, are quality USDA quality beef you can't find in Thailand. I do love noodles.
It's dangerous because of tourists who try to take a pic or video and they dont keep themselves behind the shelters. They sometimes step on goods when the train comes close.
@@TheAlbert12397 ping and yang has the same meaning (grilled) but moo ping is only used with pork skewers (i.e. small bite size amount of pork put on wooden stick)
6k baht that's a rip off. Just get on the train to Mahachai from Wongwian Yai and cross over the river to Baen Laem station for the next train, cost me less than 500 baht return😀
When I'm abroard I intend to eat everything that looks delicious to me, set countless bookmarks, but once I am in Thailand I sadly have admit space in my stomach is limited and the heat makes me less hungry.

I saw the video collab you did with Adam of OTR. He and his crew does excellent work.
Brilliant stuff Gary. Mad that train going through the market

I wish my Thai was as good as yours. Love the vblogs.
Always wanted to know what is more than just taking photos at the touristy spots.....more of stuff like this please! Thanks!

Fab vid Gaz 😘. Loved it. Just shows ppl have to get out and see what's in front of them 👍
Thanks Nikki! Yes definitely
Just watched mate, great video again. Could double that up with a trip to the floating market that’s out that way 👍

The actual town is great Mike, I know you’d like it!
Having Baja fish tacos right now and you would love them!

ก๋วยเตี๋ยวดูน่ากินมาก ดูวิดีโอแล้วหิวเลย ชอบมากเลยครับ
You must try the ox leg rice.
Wow! I just moved to this town. I can try some Roaming Cook's recommendations.

You could make a series out of this... good eating slightly off rhe beaten path near the usual tourist traps!
I used to sell phones in Tesco-Lotus and Big C there for almost 1 year, but I've never eaten at this noodle shop. It looks very appetizing.

Thumbs up 👍Gary
Lol so excited.but pls be careful with train 🚂 🙏🙏
Good job. Been there.
Cheers Kevin mate

.... And it is kind of the point
😅
What is the difference between moo dang and moo yang?
Moo=pork, dang=red, yang=grilled. Moo dang uses that red (char siu) bbq sauce. Moo yang is a generic term for grilled pork.
@@chakritw Thank you. What about Moo Ping?

All of the above answers plus ping means grill in Laos. Not sure why that’s the only snack where the name stuck

Hi Gary, have you visited Ampawa yet?
Many years ago now! I’m hoping to get back soon
The Mee looks similar to Kolo Mee.
Pricing please.
I showed the price in the video 👌 50 baht

Does food taste better when you risk death or dismemberment to get it? 😅
Hahah definitely 😂
The influencers getting that last shot as the train arrives 😂
His name "KOB" it's mean Frog...sir!!

❤️❤️❤️❤️
IM SUPRISED by all the western smokers
why dont they make the market like a street over or something? seems silly to have in on the tracks
From memory the market has always been there, the train came after to get the fresh seafood to Bangkok markets
🙌🏼😀😋🙏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
🙏🙏👍👍❤🇹🇭

It doesn't count if the ingredients didn't get run over by the train. It is almost like being bless and baptised by the Holy.
Everything in life is better with crispy pork gubbins 😋
Too right
Hype. Not dangerous if you don't want it to be. Gets some clicks. Just for tourists.
That’s why it’s in inverted commas. No it’s not dangerous. I take it didn’t watch the video?
Why do you like Thailand? That's why we love Thailand.
