- It's time for Episode 1 of the brand new Did You Know? Series featuring 5 things you might not know in WWE 2K23, including new features, secrets, easter eggs and hidden content!
Today's featured things include:
- How to unlock the WWE Performance Center in WWE 2K23 as a playable area for exhibition matches.
- An alternate entrance animation for Cody Rhodes that uses his "Codyvator" to raise him up from the stage when playing in the WrestleMania arena.
- An alternate version of the Cody Cutter that can be assigned in Create a Moveset as a corner springboard.
- An alternate ending cutscene in the 2K Showcase when John Cena defeats RVD at ECW One Night Stand.
- New Backstage Brawl improvements that see new car moves added and a giant spotlight that you can throw your opponent into from the top platform.

Did you know that John Cena has a Bray Wyatt reference in his commentary? If you select Cena and have him make his entrance at WrestleMania, commentary will talk about some of the people Cena has faced at WM, including Bray Wyatt.
Yeah playable but not as a practice mode
Maybe it's new commentary when we play Elias vs Ezequiel or maybe like a team.
Both of the ones I found were during showcase mode.
During one of the videos of Randy Orton holding the WHC, Christian's nameplate is blurred out. During some of the cutscenes during Roman vs Cena, a shirt for the Fargo based indie promotion "Below Zero Wrestling" can be seen in the crowd. The logo is unblurred. I mention this because to my knowledge, this is the first time a non-WWE affiliated company has directly appeared in a WWE game. Also any reference to OVW is blurred out or simply called "WWE Developmental" due to the company no longer being affiliated with WWE>
Did you know when you break a rear grapple as Carmelo Hayes sometimes he’ll do a standing switch to an O’Connor roll that results in a special sit down superkick?
I love how they added security for the alternate ending they should had them throwing trash and chairs in the ring
The security weren't present in one of the early build of the game. So it is a nice touch and it makes sense for John Cena to quickly get the hell out of the ring victorious before a so-called "riot" breaks out.
Same. But I do love the implication that the fans have actually started rioting.
The new Cody cutter 2 alternative version of the maneuver looks awesome. I'm glad 2k updated that animation.

Since Cody has a special Wrestlemania entrance, it'd be cool if you could select Wrestlemania entrances for Create-A-Superstars as well.

God, I’ve begged and prayed for years to finally be able to play in the performance center in exhibition mode, I’m so happy about this
I do love the alternate endings to showcase matches and it seems to be something there doing going forward

I love that Cena and Lesnar can hit their finishers as reversals now. If you do a running move and Cena has a special he'll duck and hit the FU.
I LOVE that you can use those springboard moves as signatures. Thats so awesome!
In MyRise mode when fighting at the mocap arena, there’s some great commentary to be heard, my favorite being: “I haven’t seen moves this bad since 2K20.” 😂

Wwe2k23 has lots of new and additional features in the game so far, and it's amazing how far this game has come into development, 2k has really improved so much and put their hard work, time, and dedication into something so small and turned out to be really huge.
I hope 2k24 is on next gen only and have a big leap.
Where are these "lots of new and additional features". I knew it was gonna be a copy of 2k22 and sure enough... I'm playing 2k22 again. But now with wargames.

When you do the mocap missions in MyRise, the person capturing the footage will reference WWE 2K20 and how bad it was, and they mention NBA and how much easier it would've been to capture the animations for that game as opposed to a WWE game.
The Car animations also have different moves. By pressing heavy instead of light. On the side of the Car you'll be smashing your opponent through the window.
For anyone wondering why you can’t run and hit the Cody Cutter, you have to go to his moveset and just equip the move again and it will let you run and hit it

The same trick that lets you equip jackets and capes for in-ring gear on your 2nd attire slot works again this year. Handy for people who want to make superhero-themed caws with their capes, or just caws that wear attire that's normally limited to entrance-only.

Did you know when you play as chad gable if you hold down R2 on playstation or Rt on Xbox and taunt using left or right on the dpad he will do his signature " shooooos" taunt along with his " Thank you " taunt
I'm so excited for these videos again.
So I’ve just played a backstage brawl and there’s a bit more you can do. You can slam your opponents head against the car doors/hood & you can smash your opponent’s head through the car window by using the shoulder carry.
Did you know that in universe mode if you for example, get attacked before a match, the commentators will remark about that both after that specific cut scene, and after the match.
I only tested it once but immediately came here after. I had a match with Triple H and Seth Rollins and during the match I went outside the ring and on the bottom right corner near the barricade was a water bottle on the floor. I believe it’s Triple H’s from his entrance. Pretty cool little detail.
If two members of a tag team start off the Royal Rumble, they will both taunt and celebrate until #3 comes out. I saw it happen with Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin for reference.

Did you know you can now put larger stages in the newest large stadium in Create an Arena? Last year you weren't able to put (example) Mania XIX stage in the newest stadium for the mode but this year you now can

I really like that they are rewarding you for finishing basic task now and hopefully they do that with My faction this year. It keeps the replay value fresh

I'm always thinking,what are they thinking anyway. The Smackdown Shut your Mouth game backstage has my favorite backstage areas ever. People been saying this over 10 years. They should know to make a ton of interactive stuff to do and places to go.😊 . Anyways good video "SmackTalks 👍🏼

The creation suite still includes most if not all clothing and images for imperium before the name changes.
they need to fix the Jukebox in this game Cody rhodes theme isn’t available and same for judgement days theme. I hope they add a Judgement day motion for Dominik like how they did for ‘19 for UE

I want to add to the Xavier Woods and Cena match. When it starts, you can change the controller assignment and play as Cena, and you can beat Xavier. I still got the PC arena too
Looks like Kingdom will be my most played song on Spotify again this year, it’s the only solution to the Cody problem

Did you say something about 2k adding trash cans under the ring for this year's game. Unfortunately they're not available to pick when doing custom matches.
The 2k23 pokes fun at Vince McMahon and his weird hatred for sneezing! When playing the lock my rise while arriving to raw on week 2 you’ll be greeted by a fictional superstar that gives you rules to go by, one of which is “never sneeze around the big boss”
Did you know if you hit the referee they will slow down when they count future pinfalls for you/speed up for the opponent

Morrison’s motion is still in the game. Now I can recreate my caw from 2k22
I think I may have already found an Easter egg or at least a cool coincidence. In the wrestlemania 22 arena, the posters for shawn michaels and Eddie guerrero are next to each other, possibly referencing the rumor that they were planned to face off at that event had eddie not passed away at the end of 05.
Beyond that, I saw people uploading 06 edge with alternate gear that's in the game that isn't used (his 04 style gear) which led me to finding 1999 dx triple h tights as well!

@Razza D not to my knowledge. I think the triple h tights are from his myfaction model last year with them finally giving you the parts to use in the creation suite. As for edge, idk what they're from but those tights with the faces on the legs like he had in 04/early 05 if I'm not mistaken weren't there before.

Something cool, and I THINK new when playing MyGM. If you click on someone on your roster, where it asks if you want to end their contract, it shows their win-loss record.
Can you interact with the Ambulance in backstage matches (eg open the back doors of the ambulance and then throw your opponent into it?
If so, I can sort of play an Ambulance Match.
Did you know there are two new tag team championship victory motions. One for Imperium and one that seems like it’s for Toxic Attraction as they were the only women’s tag team given the motion.
hello @smacktalks IDK if this has been said but you did a video explaining codys entrance in respects of his wrestlemania entrance vs seth rollins. It is not just used for wrestlemania you have to add it on create an entrance to use it all the time if that makes sense. There is a cody rhodes 1 and a Cody Rhodes 2/ Number 2 is his wretlemania entrance. Thank you
I’m not sure if it was a thing before. But now if you get rolled up and pinned in an exhibition match. You can attack the person after the match when they walk away
Not sure if anyone mentioned this but if you add a CAP of Maxxine Dupri to Maximum Male Models, it adds the trios intro automatically. Just add her as a manager when you pick MMM as a tag team.
Remember when you could do so much more? Smackdow here comes the pain, would let you interact with EVERYTHING and go anywhere. Plus weapons were more fun in earlier games, before 2k.
Can you preview in full screen in video create mode or are we still limited to that little preview box on the top left corner?
I bought the early version just to do custom arenas and to be able to bring like the dumpster and other objects near the ring but that’s not possible this year with wwe2k23 also there are more props added to create an arena
There’s 3 or 4 images of Pat McAfee on the creations image option
Did you know that Keith Lee’s entrance and victory motions (including title victory) are in the game titled “Limitless”
in the Legacy MyRISE if you do one of the side quests where you help do mocap for 2K then you can hear the person in charge reference 2K20 and Wrestlemania 36 in the P.C along with NBA2K.
Did you know:
Rey Mysterio Jrs alternate Starrcade 1996 attire has the face paint from the main attire from Halloween Havoc when loaded into gameplay. However, if you create an alternate attire for Rey Jr using the Starrcade attire and save it, that created alternate will not have the face paint when you load it into gameplay.
Theres a special shoutout to the dudley boys whenever you get a table! Its a cool little shoutout!
There's special commentary for Super Cena including his overall being 100
Playing myrise has unlockables like a hurt business or evolution tights. So it’s worth a play through or two to get these kinda stuff if you want them
There is also a side mission you get that unlocked triple H when he was in WCW

I noticed the Cody Cutter says "Standing Springboard." Are we not able to assign it as a running springboard signature? I think it'd look a lot cleaner that way

A lot of stuff already took me by surprise which I never saw coming in this game and I only played it for three or four hours last night.

Bug 1 - When i used undertaker for ps4, the tombstone finisher on settings and display, upon playing the tombstone is a dragonsleeper as a finisher.
Bug 2- select x and circle /cancel controls in reverse on display
The one time I didn't do the tutorial was the one time it unlocked something. No wonder Xavier woods gave me that smug smile, he knew what I was missing out on

Did you know in the showcase match with Undertaker 03, Undertaker is wearing a bandana at the start of the match, but after one of the live scenes, his bandana comes off? So the remainder of the match he won't have a bandana on
This is cool I wish when we injured them they come out with a cast or something for a next fight

You can also press X near the back of the truck or car to break the window when dragging someone and I cracked the, second if you carry someone when they’re over your shoulder and press, delete attack button a.k.a. square near the window you’ll send them through it

So here are some did you know facts I have.
1 If you play war games in the NXT arena & have Johnny Gargano start of for you during his entrance commentary will mention how war games was his last match in NXT & he's looking with a victory in the match
2 Did you know there are several new commentary lines for when certain wrrestlers fight each other. Some of these lines can only be heard after the match is others can be heard during the match & after. New Rivalry commentary I found includeds Austin Theory vs Johnny Gargano. Sami Zayn vs Jey Uso. Happy Corbin vs Madcap Moss. Seth Rollins vs Cody Rhodes. Tyler Bate vs Bron Breakker. Some of this new commentary will only trigger in the post match while some will trigger during the match & after
