Very important to keep the tradition alive haha! Thank you and thank you for being the only reason there are clips from my actual birthday in this video 🤣 love you!
I 100% agree, it’s kind of all I can think about since I watched the reveal footage back. 😆 It would definitely look better but I’d have to take off the bias binding and I don’t know if I have the patience at this moment haha. Thank you so much 😊❤️
14:25 ...Actually, yes, I am working on something while listening to you sew, lol! I'm claying in a sculpture for molding it! Thanks for keeping me entertained!
I've had this dress on my etsy wishlist for over 5 months now and just never got around to make it. Yours turned out so cute! But it's already too cold in Europe to wear this, so I'll also make it in spring in a uni color. Although I think the pattern would be super cute as a christmas dress, maybe in a deep red or green velvet and even with a little glitter 😊😊
Thank you so much! ❤️ Right!? I might have to visit them all again before the season is over, they were so fun! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video, very happy to have you here! 😊
Oo that sounds gorgeous! There are so many fun ways to customize it. I’m definitely going to end up making it again just for the fun of it haha. Thank you! 😊❤️
Obsessed with this turnout! Love the red bias trim. You always inspire me to try something new!! Been avoiding zippers but now it’s time to give it a shot 😂 also just curious, do you ever use pinking shears?? I don’t have a serger so I’ve been experimenting with the shears and/or zig zag stitching
Thank you!! This is one is zipper free so you can avoid them one more time haha 😜 I do using pinking shears. I didn’t have a serger for my first year of sewing and I found that they work really well. I I often cut out my patterns with pinking shears just to save myself the hastle of dealing with any fraying while I’m working. 😊❤️
Happy belated birthday! The dress turned up beautiful, I love the combination with the red and I never would have thought of that. On a completely unrelated note, do you have a link for the necklace you wore for the reveal, or some direction to something like it?
Thank you, thank you! Mine was gifted to me, so I’m not sure of the exact one. But, the style is called a Toggle Necklace and mine is gold plated so that it doesn’t tarnish or turn me green but isn’t crazy expensive. 😊❤️
@ thank you for the info! I’m sure I’ll be able to find it with the style name. And I feel you, my favorite necklaces turn me green so I decided I should be an adult and slowly find alternatives with good metals 😅
Thank you! Yay, I'm so glad! Are you thinking of doing all one color, or multiple fabrics? :) Thank you, I'm so glad that you enjoy my videos. Thanks for watching! :)
The sleeves definitely need to be lined. That white reverse side of the fabric showing would drive me crazy 😭 But that’s part of the fun of sewing - with every make, you learn something new. Love your channel and following your sewing journey as a fellow sewist ☺️
Agh I know, I definitely need to go back to it. I couldn't tell how visible it was until I watched the footage back haha. Next time I make this I'm definitely just going to line the whole thing. Absolutely agree, I learn something new every time. I love it! Aw thanks so much, so happy to hear you enjoy my channel. I hope whatever you're working on turns out just how you imagined! :)
“It’s a traditional of mine to not finish my birthday dress by my birthday.” This is so relatable! Obsessed with how this turned out!
Very important to keep the tradition alive haha! Thank you and thank you for being the only reason there are clips from my actual birthday in this video 🤣 love you!
Every year for me 😮
So, so gorgeous 😍 I hope you had the most wonderful birthday ❤
Thanks so much! It was lovely, thank you. 😊❤️
Happy birthday! The dress turned out pretty
Thank you, thank you! 😊❤️❤️❤️
You know what would be so cute? To line the underside of the sleeves in the red too! It is gorgeous! Everything you make looks so beautiful on you!!
I 100% agree, it’s kind of all I can think about since I watched the reveal footage back. 😆 It would definitely look better but I’d have to take off the bias binding and I don’t know if I have the patience at this moment haha. Thank you so much 😊❤️

Ah yes it was sitting in my wishlist forever as well haha. Thank you! Yes it would be great for spring, and I looooove the idea of it in velvet!!
Yes! My cat too! I thought my cat was just insane.
Haha same! I’m very reassured now that it’s not just mine, but also worried for us all haha.

Gah, this is one of my favorite patterns!!❤️ when I made it I used lace for the flounces. Yours turned out so beautiful!
Oo that sounds gorgeous! There are so many fun ways to customize it. I’m definitely going to end up making it again just for the fun of it haha. Thank you! 😊❤️
Omg are you wearing a Weasley sweater in the beginning??🤩
Super cute dress as well!
Eee! Yes I am 😊❤️❤️❤️ Tis the season for Ron’s Christmas sweater and rewatching Harry Potter. Thanks! ❤️
Loved watching this because I've made this before and made the same mistake on French seams 😂😅
Haha well we had good intentions at least 😆 Glad you enjoyed, thanks for watching! ❤️❤️
Amazing!!! I gasped at the final reveal 🫠
Haha ahh thank you! 😊❤️❤️❤️

It turned out beautiful! I also love your bangs! Do you cut them yourself?
Thank you! 😊❤️ Yes I do 🫣

The dress is gorgeous! I'm going to add this to my "to make list"! Really love your videos, so fun to watch when I'm sewing

My car does the same with the pins that are in a cushion.🙈 But on a magnetic pad it's not interesting at all.
Haha how funny, apparently all the cats are on a mission to scare us to death with this trick. Good to know about the magnetic pad. :)
My cat does the same exact thing. It's so scary 😅
No way! Well I’m glad it’s not just mine, but also I’m sorry yours does it because it is the scariest habit ever! 🫣
