do you recommended getting a contractor's license for this trade? I'm confused because I'm aiming to be the owner my garage door company as well. Im in the state of California. Or is your certification is all I need?

You can still charge up to $500 per job without a contractors license in California, up to $1000 in other states, and some states don’t even require one.
You’ll definitely need one to charge on higher ticket jobs (over $500). Our certification is separate from a contractors license, but you can still make good money until you receive a contractors license from the state.
