Hmmm 🤔🤔....I happen to find 6 inch plus multi color crystals in various locations in my area of Pennsylvania....we flea market them off because we have limited space.
Im going to mcadoo to rockhound for the first time today! Its about 2 hours from me and i dont know where to go in mcadoo at all but ill figure it out lol
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I live in CT., which is known for its Garnets. I have found those, but I am just beginning to look for crystals seriously. What type of landscape should I be looking for? I would love to find a pocket too! I am a big fan of Bryan, The Crystal Collector, and just watched him pull Herkimer Diamonds in NY. Do you know the type of soil conditions they form in? Just curious about the Herks. I'm thinking of doing a day trip or overnight to one of the public mines there. I've always collected "pretty" rock since I was a child. Now at 61, I'm seriously considering either monitoring or enrolling in a class at a local college. Then I won't have to ask someone a million questions, lol🤪. I appreciate your time and thanks again for the video. ~Dolly
How do you figure out where to start digging? Are you just using surface finds as indicators? Or is there some geological feature, or soil color, or rock type you seek out to determine a good starting point for a dig?
So ive attempted this myself in the rockier areas i find around myself. I am great at finding sandstone! Not much else :(. Sandstone tricks me into thinking its a geode. But how do you identify all that through all the mud? Do you bring a spray bottle or something? What tools do you use?
What cha do with all them crystals. I've got alot of ideas but, not sure what you have in mind. The natural world so amazing. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. Hey, what do you think about the DJI FPV offering. I'm finding it very tempting.
Awesome because I LOVE crystals and I’m astound to find out there’s amethyst in P.A just wasn’t sure, Do you have an IG where you show all your findings ?
Beautiful crystals!!❤❤

Watch the video I’m pretty sure I cover just about everything you asked in the video
They sometimes just show up along river and stream banks that are cut out of stone....tons of crystals.
