All your finds there were spectacular, so you were very blessed to be able to go there and retrieve such wonderful specimens while you could. I was very worried for your safety. @@lizzymoore54 I used to take a lot more stupid risks, but I have a baby to take care of now so I keep it safe....if I have nowhere to run I won't dig it. Five years ago I would've dug more than a few spots I walked away from in my recent PA videos....Plus since 2013 I now own one of the nicest pieces of Herkimer Diamond property in NY....crystals are much better, more abundant, and digging has no hazards. Unfortunately, I live in PA....maybe when I hit a million subscribers I'll build a big treehouse and hobbit hole home up at Paradise Falls hehe

By the way, my brother was born in Herkimer, N.Y.. He's 69 now. Our parents moved and eventually landed in Jacksonville, Fl.. He and my other surviving brother live there. I live in Ga., a couple of hours away. My husband retired early from the Nuclear Power Plant that he worked for 30 years. I've seen some videos on the Herkimer diamonds and it is very hard work to remove them but they are oh so beautiful! I collect all kinds of rocks and it has become a passion in my older age. I just can't get out too much any more to hunt them. When we do vacation, we go to Northern Ga., where our son lives. The foothills and mountains of the Blue Ridge. We always rent by a river or stream and I collect so many pretties and a few boulders that my dear husband has to haul up to the truck! I collect mostly chalcedony, some agates, petrified wood, amethyst, etc. and large river rock. I prefer to find my own, rather than to go to gem sites. My husband has found about an ounce of gold " pickers " out of the streams. I believe I may also have a few rough diamonds which were found in the streams and rivers. There is an ancient volcanic zone that crosses over the area, so I thought I'd take my diamond tester and check a few. They aren't all gem quality though because they've been tumbling down this river system for so long. I keep my collection in it's rough state, as I found them. ( with the exception of cleaning them with vinegar and sometimes CLR to remove rust . I also soak some of them in mineral oil, then wipe them and put them into displays in crystal bowls and the like ). I appreciate them more this way, just as God made them. Iron Out...but won't on these because we like the black coating...and the low grades show up better in our orgonite pyramids we make..I'll always soak them if there's good crystals or high quantity...In my previous PA video we cleaned them up at the end with iron out(and dug some nice pieces!)

I'm from Carrick and I I'm a huge fisherman and when I go down the Mon river to fish I'm always looking to see if i can find anything worth keeping on the hills or river banks. I've found somethings but not sure what they are. I can't find any info on some of the rocks or crystals if found.
I think the use of heavy machinery sucks, it is bad for the ozone and greenhouse gasses and it allows you to get ahead by bying lazy and you’re an ass for using dynamite that could destroy the hope Diamond of quartz
The Stone Quarry is always our go to spot ....we have them all around us and find buckets of goodies. Central Pennsylvania is full of crystals.

Cornwall, pa has a plethora of minerals...i kmow there's a smoky quartz spot near Hershey, but ive never dug there.

They'll tell you no. Everyone is afraid of getting sued these days. The old owner was tolerant of us but all good things come to an end.
