I am enjoying doing my mystery quilt (my 1st one). I chose the red/white/blue so I could do it as a QOV (also my 1st one). This quilt I will be giving to my nephew who was a marine during Golf War. Holly showed her quilted scissor holders she made. It made me happy that she was feeling good enough to sew. Holly also started me watching you when she did her video on highlighting quilt shops. You are great.
Thank you. Holly is sweet and I'm glad she had a good day. If you plan to give your quilt at QOV you should see what needs to be one to get it registered. It's an actual award that comes with a certificate. There is a gal (Pat) in the facebook group that does a QOV chapter and we do a lot for her. You could ask in the group what she thinks you can/should do to make that quilt official. The quilt as a gift is still super nice, though.
When my husband was putting in new tile in the kitchen, I caught him using my very expensive pair of scissors, as you all know tile and fabric don't mix. So, now I keep my good pair of fabric scissors under a lock and key. And keep a pair of crafting scissors out. Like your hair cut looks great.
Hi Lynne. I have watched several of your videos but only today realized you had a store. I am heading over to looks at the fabric and scissors you mentioned. I hope to catch you on Monday. Have a wonderful day!
Lynne, I’m having so much fun with my mystery quilt! You and your channel are a marvel. I recently got some very bougie scissors that I had to extract from my little granddaughter’s hand. She loved the glitter handles. Lol. Grands in the sewing room are sew much fun. ❤
That little quilt kit is so cute. I like making small mini-quilts. I am also working on some applique quilts and little cutting little pieces of fabric with a nice sharp pair of scissors.
You know. I've noticed that it's really hard to find left-handed scissors. When having them in a box, be sure to have scissors that can be used by us lefties. It's also difficult to use soup ladles....and gravy ladles.
@@jeannet.7511 Yep. When writing in grade school, I always had to curve my hand around the top of the page or I'd get lead pencil on edge of my hand or ink, depending on what I was writing with too. Also, spiral notebooks on the left hand side. The spirals are uncomfortable. I'd flip my notebooks so the spirals went the other way. Stenographers notebooks were great because the metal coils are at the top. I'd flip it so it was at the bottom and very comfortable. We lefties are problem solvers! Lol
Good morning Lynne! Your hair cut looks super nice. Congrats on your 7K Subs. Hate you lost a lot of (online Data) stuff during the transformation of your website. But, in the end it will have been worth it. I am going to Hawaii next Saturday, I will be six hours behind what I normally am. I sure hope I don't forget about Monday @5. I wasn't able to do the mystery quilt. I am looking for a new pair of scissors, I am going to purchase the Kai brand. Have a great week! 🥰
Thank you, thank you. Data issues no fun. Hawaii tons of fun!!! Super jealous.... never been. I've heard that Kai is a good brand. You'll have to let me know.
When quilting, the choices are clear, To use scissors or rotary shear? With crisp cuts and speed, Rotary's what you need, For quilting with joy, never fear.
I Love your Monday night show ❤️❤️👍🏼👍🏼Joyti and I are keeping night bot jail clean, tidy, and ready for anyone with coffee and doughnuts and sewing projects to sew and cut with scissors...dont want to give them a rotary cutter they might hurt themselves..we will welcome them when they come in.😁😁😁💖💖💖 Ohh fyi this is Elaine 😊
I love sewing tools with that oil-slick rainbow wash like the scissors you showed. I'm always on the lookout for more tools with that finish! Hoping to get to one of your live sales soon - I always seem to miss them by just a few hours. Here's hoping!
Great video as always. Long time motto at my house as I'm sure at many others: "Do not ever use mom's sewing scissors for cutting paper" Glad you are able to have some help in getting organized.
I'm going to be looking for a new pair of scissors, as I hid mine from my daughter due to the surgical edge my dad had placed on them. Now I can't find them. I will have to check out your shop. Congratulations on the 7k subscribers.
On getting notifications, I get the notification but when I go to watch it "has been removed" issue appears. That has happened several times. I now have to go to the youtube home page of your channel to see what I may have missed.
I didn't realize that. Thank you for letting me know. I don't know how to edit it after it's posted, but you can see me holding something. That is the word.
This is all so fun. I really like your scissors. They are pretty.
Thank you so much!
I like your black ironing mat!.
I don't know what that is. hmm

Oh no!!! I agree. Little hands are trouble in the sewing room! I can relate. LOL
I tried to always occupy my granddaughter with my fabric scraps to keep them away from dangerous object.
Scissors are a very necessary tool for quilting.
Yes, Very!
But finding them when I need them can be a challenge.
Lynne, I finally made my scissor holder. Love it.❤
That's great!
I want to make some holders too.
You cut your hair Lynne! You look amazing. So nice to see you.
yes thank you!
I love my scissors, I've had it for almost 5 years. Congratulations on your new stuff 😊

Great video as usual. I love my iridescent purple scissors.
were those from a subscription box?
@@SoftSquares No, I bought it on Temu.
Iridescent, sounds great!
I have looked at Guggenheim scissors. Havent bought them yet😊
I bought a pair and love the weight of them. They cut like butter, but I don't use them as much as I do my Gingers.
Me either, but I am going to check them out now that I heard about them,
Hi Lynne! Love the color of those scissors my, favorite 😍
Me too!!
one of my favorite things that was passed down to me was my grandmas pinking scissors. they cut like they are brand new!
I love scissors that cute like that
What a treasure!
New subscriber here! Andrea from Arkansas Gals sent me! My favorite thing in my sewing room are my new Tula Pink Scissors.
Thanks for watching and subbing!
Tula Pink makes scissors?

Wonderful!
I have to safe guard my fabric scissors because my husband thinks they are part of his tool box.😮
some husbands are worse than the kids. lol
I agree.

I never thought about the soup and gravy ladles... makes sense.
I also never thought of other things that give lefties problems.

I’m left handed and only use my left handed scissors when sewing.
well, that would make sense. ;-)
Glad they found out that lefties need special scissors

I just realized today that I need to buy a new pair of general use scissors as I don’t want anyone to grab the ones I use for fabric! 😮
You should put markers on your good ones to scare people that try to use them. lol
I am looking for a good pair for my kitchen,
I have scissors just like yours, you have great taste.
great minds think a like. :-)

I have a pair too. I'm glad you like them.
I do not. Guess I need to check them out.

So true!
Great motto!
Those teal scissors you showed us are pretty, does it match the decor of your sewing studio?
Yes, why yes they do. :-)
I think I need new scissors to match my decor. Of course, first I need to redecorate.

Oh no!
I eonder of Kia make purple 💜 scissors?
that's a good question....
I saw this on their website: Kai N3210SE: 8-inch Micro-Serrated Patchwork Scissors
My scissors need sharpened.
i found a professional knife sharpener guy to sharpen mine
I am also on the lookout for one nearby,
What scissors do you use? I like ones large handles.
I like large handles and some weight to them.
Use different ones. My Gingher have weight, large handles and sharpness. My Karen Buckley small ones for applique pieces.
I seem to wear out my scissors every few years.
I'm always adding to my collection, but don't actually wear them out
I am always looking at cute scissors even though I don't need them.
Never run with scissors or pointy objects.
great advice
I just wish I could still run, but if I could I would not be with scissors in hand,
My family knows not to use my fabric scissors.
some family members take longer than others to "know" that. lol
That is so true, My husband also like to use my rotary cutter,
@@jeannet.7511 So did mine (as a pizza cutter) lol
Oops! Erong tutorial😂.
lol. love it!
