Is this the same principle like Obi Otoshi, just from the seoi grip?

Really depends on Uke’s reaction. If they drop their weight then an Obi otoshi finish would work just fine. If they’re more on their toes you would aim to sweep the legs together - similar to Okuri Ashi Barai.
