DESCRIPTION
“Stayin' Alive” by Bee Gees is a legendary song. I love it very much and finally I decided to arrange it and share it with you guys. Meg and I tried to give this video a 70s feel, with leather jacket, particular kind of glasses and clothing, colors and the grain. We are not Hollywood but hopefully you can still feel the atmosphere. We shot the video in front of an old green container outside and it's December, so it was pretty cold (I am wearing several layers of clothes).
To play the song in fingerstyle, I am using my lovely Serracini Guitar, which you can buy on my website. If you guys are interested, you can also download the tabs of the song from my website. It's a fun one to play!

I've actually seen a science paper on him recently. Apparently he is part octopus and has parts of his brain in his fingers, which would explain his amazing talent
I read the same paper, you missed the fact that his heart beats to the correct tempo to keep his timing and he stretches his fingers and hardens his fingertips while he sleeps to save time developing his abilities while awake

I think what I love most about this performance is that he didn't go overboard on the crazy strums and techniques. He is playing the song in a really unique and challenging way, but he's still staying really true to the melody and beat and not just "showing off" for the sake of it. So many guitarists will ruin a song just to see how many crazy taps and strums and mutes they can do in three minutes.
This has to be one of the main reasons I love Luca so much. So many times I hear someone's done a cover of some song and I feel they butchered the song because they tried to "be cool" and do all this extra stuff to showcase their skillz, but it's gone down a completely different path than the song. This song and so many other covers Luca does continues to stay true to the original, while simultaneously blowing my mind doing whatever other blackmagic fuckery he does with his instruments.

Have to agree. Tommy Emmanuel or Billy Strings are still my favorite, maybe, but you are 100% correct about the artificial harmonics this guy uses. I've never seen anybody do it like this. He has mastery of a few techniques that are absolutely mind blowing.

ASBESTOS Fibers it’s not the hardest piece in the world, but playing like that alongside all the percussion and the techniques he adds up to it makes it really difficult to play.
And not many people can play a level 5 piano piece.

This was absolutely the best instrumental version of “Staying Alive” I have ever seen and heard on one guitar, you have a unique and distinctive style that I am not likely to master anytime soon, I have learned to play more conventionally over the years, and I am already used to playing in my own fashion, but I can certainly appreciate what you do on the strings and the fingerboard. I have seen several of your other videos and you are a remarkable performer, that has taken a style of guitar playing that Stanly Jordan originally made popular, and you have gone beyond what he has started, exponentially. It’s is wonderful to see you perform, and I imagine that wearing a mask is not an obstacle. Your use of harmonics is especially remarkable in this video because you are playing a specifically well known melody line that is unmistakably recognizable.
