The fact that Barry can still do his falsetto and hit those high notes at age 70, is pretty amazing. What a legend.
he can but it sounds bloody awful and totally weak and strained when he does it for prolonged times. It is ok but its not too pleasant to here. Technically its on pitch but its not nice.. He'd be better to lower it into a comfortable range some reverb and effects might help or some backing tracks but raw like this its not nice on the ear.
It helped, that he quit cigarettes in the '90s.

What Barry Gibb and his brothers mastered was “the hook” in songwriting and coming up with a catchy tune. Listen to the lyrics of “Grease”. They make no sense but they rhyme and that tune is great.

@@blastermaster2383 the brothers Gibb basically did the entire Guilty album for Barbra Streisand in 1980. They wrote, they sang, etc. BS was having a bit of a career lull as a singer but that album brought her back big time.

but but the brothers gibb weren't about disco they were just included into it due to "Saturday night fever" movie they were just about the music, which just happened to coincide with disco. of the era, look at that big blow up of records most of the "records" blown up were r & b not so much disco . don't get me wrong I was never a fan of disco but luved the bee gees music and always felt let others live the way they want .

He is truly "Staying Alive". Not many people can get to that age and still reach their tones like they did in their youth. One of a kind he is, a living legend, singer, guitar player and songwriter. Here's hoping he continues "Staying alive" for many years to come.
Little do people know that he is the most prolific songwriter in music history. With over 100 top 40 hits performed by the Bee Gees or written for other artists. Legendary songwriter and performer.

I can imagine, the sadness he has, singing these songs without his brothers anymore. They were the best disco group in the history of world music. His voice is unique, unmistakable. I am 61 years old, they have signed, all the best nights of my life. He and his brothers with Saturday night fever wrote, played and sang, the most beautiful dance songs. Bee gees forever.
It is sad, but that's exactly why he does it. Every time he sings it, it's like he's bringing his brothers back to life, even if just for a couple minutes. They are with him in spirit.
I love that he's still going strong alone, making people happy, bless him.

It must be hard singing a song like “Stayin’ Alive” when he outlived all of his younger brothers. I hope he can find happiness in what they created.
I love that the security is all gettin' down! This is some of the best music that ever hit the airwaves because it was so FUN and it was made to move to. It was a revolutionary time in music and I for one am thrilled to have been a coming of age young guy when it was big.
When you are so groovin' even the security staff are chilling and even doing a synchronized dance. I never saw that before.

Barry is one heck of a songwriter, not just for his brothers, but for others, too. He's also a musical poet. You can picture the lyrics in your head in a lot of the Bee Gees' tunes. You rock, Barry.

Barry and the Bee gees are iconic LEGENDS, Robin had a voice none has yet to duplicate, simply because robins voice was a trumpet so well played only he could play it..

You know you're a legend when you have not just the audience laughing but the entire freaking security team dancing too! I'm disappointed I didn't get to grow up when this music came out (only 18) but I am lucky I was raised with all of this. I am still an old soul. 99% of what I listen to is the REAL music like this.

Barry talks about the magic of that particular audience/performance at Glastonbury and how he was blown away by the response to him. He'd thought people had forgotten his music.

Человеку 70 лет, он прожил огромную, интересную, часто трагическую жизнь. У него больная спина, артрит, больное сердце. Другие бы на его месте лежали и не вставали с кровати. А он ведет активную творческую жизнь, записал успешный диск. Видите ли, голос у него звучит не так, как раньше. Не знаю, сколько лет этим комментаторам. Уверена, что не 70. Вот доживут до его лет, посмотрим, как тогда запоют!!!😂😂😂

His brothers are indeed waiting for him, but there's no rush. Andy died too young at 30. Maurice at 53, younger than my father and Robin at 62, he could still be with us if cancer didn't take him. We only have Barry left, but sadly not for long as you mentioned. All we can do is "stayin' alive" until then.
