Hey I agree most people can't succeed or get safely to the other side but I conquered it with the amazing support of my family and kids and it's why I got far alot of people do not have that and it hurts their chances of making it. I just on March 3rd got a tattoo that says I played the most dangerous game called addiction, but I won with the help of my family and got everyone's name underneath. alot of addicts do not have family at all so they have noone like you it's unfortunate.

I don't think she spoke a single word of untruth. She comes off as quite eloquent and expressive, but also as someone who has lived a tortured existence. I wish I could just feel her pain for her, even if it's just for a few seconds, to relieve her but also to know what it's like. I'm amazed she hasn't killed herself yet, but sometimes addiction has a perverse, paradoxical life-extending property because seeking drugs and being high becomes the addict's new purpose in life, and they don't wanna give it up.

I am her younger sister, and I have to say, Cassie did always have a flair for storytelling. Most of what she is saying in this interview is true, though. She had an unusual and really amazing life in between the bad times. She fought her demons and mental illness like crazy, she really did, she wanted to have a "normal" life. So, for the commenters who wanted to know how she fared...obviously not well.. but she lived and loved and traveled this earth and read books and she was a beautiful person, when she wasn't trying to destroy herself. I hope her story brings solace to anyone reaching out for it.

I remember the beating, the trial, the social workers, the threats. My parents do not take any responsibility. They maintain the older girls were liars and thieves. Once they moved out we were not allowed to speak about them again. I snuck and kept in touch with my older sisters, getting punished for doing so. I'm 40 now. I have a daughter of my own. When I was pregnant I cut off contact with my parents in an effort to break the cycles. My daughter has never met my parents and they have never reached out. One of the big issues is, of course their complete refusal to acknowledge any of this ever happening.

Like many of y'all, I've been bingeing these interview videos. Hookers, addicts, gang-bangers, all these people have a story, and what I realised is that before these interviews, these people are never heard. They are never understood. They hold all this pain in, and try to mask it with drugs and destructive behavior, because it's easier to mask the anguish and pain that way, then to face it alone. There needs to be better systems in place for abused kids, and those with mental issues. We can save so many people from a lifetime of pain, if only better and earlier help was available, and people didn't have to continue to self-medicate and rot themselves. I have felt for every man and woman I have watched so far, because I actually feel their pain, and am horrified how much some have gone through.
Cassie is a really beautiful person, eloquent, and very aware of her relationship with the world, but is stuck with the horror after horror that pains her til this day. Its painful to even know so many people took advantage of her, so I believe her when she says she hasn't said aloud some of the stories before, as she is just constantly numbing herself from remembering. Out of all the people I've watched, Cassie's story hit different. I am profoundly changed after listening to Cassie.

@@EchoBravo370 Hi there. I'm a therapist and need to respectfully disagree. Mental disorders are different than a disease like cancer. They are the adaptive coping strategies our nervous systems learn in response to our needs not being met as people. They're adaptive survival strategies that become wired in at a very deep level -- a behavioural language. So while it's true we can't just "snap out of them," or "choose happiness," therapy is THE treatment that will rewire these circuits. Psycho-therapy means "treatment of the psyche." It provides a corrective relational experience, and literally rewires the attachment system of the brain and nervous system through experiencing a safe, guided, restorative relationship. So yes, it IS a treatment for trauma and mental disorders

When he told her to let the siren go by and she said “Am I talking too much?” Broke my heart because she probably thinks he is trying to shut her up but he’s not. I hope she’s okay, what a beautiful soul. The world ripped so many beautiful things away from her, like love and trust and innocence.

"My two sisters they hate and they hate beautifully... they have good lives."
Such a poetic and original phrase that has it's own statement within itself. People can react to things in productive "beautiful" ways or be broken by them. And this says that sometimes being broken by what happened makes you more real and more genuine than pushing it down with marriage and over achieving.

To those who say she would only rob you if you helped her:
May you never have to know the pain, heartbreak and unending struggle of what it feels like in her shoes. Your cold arrogance and blatant lack of empathy are the antithesis of what it means to be human. There is a reason we call it manKIND. Whether her brand of life experience, wisdom through adversity and charity of heart are your cup of tea or not, none of us get out of this thing alive. None of us are exempt from tragedy. There is no weakness in suffering, only strength. Bless you Cassandra. I too, would love to get in touch with you somehow. Your story moved mountains and immediately went to work heal ing places in my soul I forgot were there. Thank you for taking this risk and bearing yours. You are truly amazing in every way. Remember, damaged people are stronger because they know they can survive.

      Her Dr visits
      The Bible is free

      True Blood
And on and on around and pause breathe a new set of stories defined by years ..months
      So many ....
      WHAT?
      things she said
      There not real
      Shes deluded and Psychotic

She has given enough, been through enough, and maybe fame on top of it all is not her path. Either way, your words are a prayer, and if it is for her Soul's highest good, let it be done. This is the crazy part, addiction or not , when as a child we can experience things and certain types of behavior from adults we just settle for what we are used to because it's all we know. And we carry those behaviors into adulthood. We can hide our feelings and just pretend all the time to where we become emotionally numb to everything. For example, watching her talk about things like what she went through was normal. She deserves so much better. It's like I can see the little girl in her screaming so somebody can hear her story. I can relate somewhat to her. I had to learn when I was older to not face my problems as that 5 year old girl that got violated and was crying out for her dad that wasn't there. Nobody to protect her. I had to learn how to face situations as a woman who overcame those obstacles. I'm so glad and thankful I never turned to drugs bc half of my family were addicts . and I know I'm not perfect but I will always make sure my daughter lives her childhood as a kid . Not a child who has to suffer from my mistakes or and grow up so young and then struggle in her adult life bc she feels like she's been through more adult situations at a young age that there isn't a desire for life and living free and loving herself. I had her young but I will start my own tradition and not continue "what's ran in the family". Sorry for the paragraph. Lol I really love these videos , they are amazing because these wonderful people arnt viewed as gross or crazy. They are just normal people who are alittle broken and need to be heard. SWU you are an angel because you let their voice be heard. Because most people will look at them on the street and walk right over them. Thank you for all that you do.
