    I am planning a trip to Cornwall with my parents and I was worried if Tintagel Castle would be too much of a walk for my parents but there was no way of knowing how many steps it had or how steep those routes were. This video helped so much to understand what to expect. Thank you so much for sharing!

      Awww wonderful! So glad it could be of use! There’s a helpful shuttle car up and down the hill from the main town for only a couple of pounds too 😊

    Thanks so much for this. I was wondering if I could manage those paths and steps and I don’t think so! BUT so glad to have been able to see it. We might get to the village as that looks lovely! Will see if there’s anything about visiting the area in mid-October. Great filming and commentary!

      Thanks a lot! Tintagel and the castle is a must-do in Cornwall - enjoy! P.S we made a video about a magical spot just out of Tintagel called 'St Nectan's Glen' - can't recommend it enough if you have the time!

      Hi lovely! Thanks for the message ❤️🙏🏼❤️ the weather will certainly be turning. Mostly unpredictable, be sure to bring something that can withstand the wind and the rain. I’m sure the temperature will be between 10-20° with a good wind chill on those northerly days 😉

    King Arthur, was NEVER born in Tintagel,He was a Roman Centurion that stayed in the south west of England when the 5th Legion left Exeter. There has always been a Settlement at Tintagel dating back to Roman times and the Ruins you see now was originally built as a Castle in Medieval times in 1233 by the Earl of Cornwall Richard Gervais de Tyntagel on the order of his brother King Henry III to keep the Legend Alive. Very little is written about Arthur but he is said to have ruled in the West of England from Cornwall to Dorset. No Merlin,Guinivire,Sir Lancelot and the round table at Winchester dates back to Mid Medieval times,long after Arthur would have lived, Some say he's buried in Cornwall others in Salisbury,but I'm going for Glastonbury Tor. That WOULD tie in with the story of the lake and being rode across it, The Tor thousands of years ago was below sea level and the area around it was a large lake. But it's a lovely story and legend is good for tourists eh??

    Why so much about the weather? You're on the very far West coast of England high up, talking about the wind every 2 minutes is boring.

    • @cjexplores
      @cjexplores  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well it was particularly windy up there that day! We live on the north coast of Cornwall and we know it can get bad but that was intense!!
