The issue with the inserts is that you can't just scale an image to make them tighter or looser.
You have to keep the image the same size but offset the cut line by the width of the laser cut.
If you image a rectangle 20x5, if you scale it up by 10% it will be 22x5.5, with is 2 longer but only 0.5 wider. Instead you need to use the offset feature to draw new lines offset by something like 1mm and cut those instead.

Pretty cool machine. I am wondering if you can etch porcelain tile with it? Make something decorative for the floor or even make a house number plaque.
You can, in fact I'm about to engrave some stones for this weeks project, that you'll be able to watch in about 30 minutes

You are so lucky receiving the laser, just looked at the price unfortunately way outside my price bracket for something just to play around with?😳😥😥
I am very fortunate that creality sent me this, but I would recommend that if you want to play around, start with the 10w machine. That’s a more affordable machine to have fun with.

Great tool for cutting parts in plastic, 3D printer next 🤣 I would think you know this being a south paw, but just in case you can change your mouse button to left hand use
3D printer would be excellent!
Being left handed I’m quite use to adapting. Fortunately I can use either hand with most tools etc. it comes in handy 😬
