It's because WotC new company management add some BG characters in official lore, homever they decide to make Vicky very evil (And Larian have to make them like WotC planned. New WotC managment kinda suck)
Same here! My all time favorite Baldur's Gate romance. The Edwin romance mod also gives her a better ending at the end if her alignment is changed to true neutral.
And mine as well. I've played most of cRPGs that exist, and Viconia's romance was one of the best written, and I truly cared. Perhaps I've felt something similar with Liara T'Soni, but Viconia will always be my first and most beloved.
I could have sworn there was more dialogue if you were banging Vicona and she relishes mocking Jaheira about how she is infatuated with Tav but cant have him.
@@Ragitsu really now? Because I swear to everything good I can barely see the two characters in the video. The only reason I can tell where they are is because they have those green circle thingies.
@@diamondheadify-v5i A) I mentioned _backgrounds_ . B) Perhaps you ought not play at ridiculously high resolutions where characters appear to be RTS units; BG2 was designed for a resolution of 800 x 600.
@@Ragitsu I really don't get anything out of the new BG3's graphics... Hell, just give me updated versions of old game graphics like BG 1 & 2, Fallout 1 & 2, Planescape Torment, Jagged Alliance 2 etc. for new games and I'm happy as all hells in playing those. lD
Romance options were limited in BG2 - for example, Jaheira would romance male human, elf, half-elf and halfling, while Viconia male human, half-elf, half-orc or halfling - so, if you played as male dwarf or gnome (or female any race), you would miss such interactions with Jaheira and Viconia. However Aerie would go for gnome, and Neera (character added in enhanced edition) would go for male of any race.
@@boski0klusek Those limitations made the characters seem more real; compare this to L's pet project where all NPCs are playersexual (i.e., attracted to the PC no matter what).
BG3 did Viconia dirty
For real.

Wasn't she chaotic evil in BG2? Kind of what you'd expect.

@@AntoinePelissier Yeah because God forbid we have attractive women in video games anymore (attractive men are fine).
There's a Vicky shaped hole in my heart

Kinda crazy how the Baldur gate 2 went from this to the goddamn visual masterpiece that was BG3.
"visual masterpiece"? Hilarious. The Infinity Engine backgrounds _still_ hold up while L's project is already showing its age...cracking at the seams.

@@Anarchistbanana I have seen what modern developers can do with prerendered graphics; those games are beautiful and will also stand the test of time.
I guess she's not alright by Jaheira.
ok these are great but is someone gonna mod the game to put them in it
Amazing what can be done with AI. I wish one day we can have a mod to dubb all party members dialogs. And btw, very nice portrait of Viconia.
Where did you get you portraits from?
Ai by the looks
Portraits from a mod, "Portraits everywhere" it is called.
Is that an AI image of Viconia?
tf? i dont even remember there being a romantic subplot in bg2 lol
You could even have a child in game. Which was to be replicated in BG3, but eventually was cut out

i'm sorry , jeheira and viconia of the temple of sharr know each other ?
Yes, they even have hidden dialogue. Minsc and Minthara too
They once traveled together. Not because they liked each other, obviously.
Jeheira and Shadowheart will have a short dialogue about Viconia if you put them together in the team in bg3
Seems that jaheira liked her more than the other way around
So, did they pass the Bechdel test or what?
Screw these arbitrary measures of acceptance.
They talked about a man, so no
