I'm honestly sooo exhausted by the gay community generally. Between the expectations as well as the shady/mean gays I'm kinda over it. Not only are we expected to have a certain kind of body, but we're also supposed to be wealthy, gym going, well-traveled, outdoorsy, etc etc. I'm just a simple man with a great job who loves my life and my body fluctuates depending on if I'm in the mood to be dieting and exercising who has at least a few redeemable qualities. Why can't that be enough. 😅

For the right person, it will certainly be enough - now how do we find that special one??

Body image issues since I was 12ish. I just turned 33 and it is still a daily thought of “Am I thin enough?” Checking for wrinkles or blemished skin.
It’s better now but I wish it was gone completely.
ALSO I have those blue purple crocs and I wear them with socks 🧦 😂

Croc power! haha But seriously, glad to hear you're making progress on your body image journey - not sure it's ever completely over for most of us, but as long as you're making forward progress, you're doing great!

You both are very objectively handsome men, but your personalities make you even more appealing. Thank you for this intelligent, honest, highly relatable discussion! ❤

OMG another AWESOME conversation. So empowering, clarifying and supportive. Such a good reminder that we are ALL someone's 'perfect' type - even when we feel like no one even notices. Especially great when the other man is also our type!
I happen to find both of you VERY attractive. Slim, skinny-side, plump in the right places😉 twinks have always been my type😂 with one of THE most important 'plump' parts being his heart and mind. You two got it goin on ALL DAY. Feel free to follow up this convo in y'alls boxers only😂😂😂. Nah just kidding. But yea, go ahead🙌🏾💪🏾😂

You're making us blush! Thank you! Maybe we'll do a boxers-only episode once we launch our Patreon! lol

I really enjoy the podcast! I wish we as the LGBTQIA community wasn’t so judgmental towards each other. I know I have been guilty of that. I know I can be better than that. Thank you for the discussion!❤❤

Thank you for tuning in! We've all been guilty of being judgmental from time to time, but if we're aware of it, we can work on it! Proud of you for wanting to be better for yourself and our community!

There is so much more to body image and attraction because it's a false narrative that a body standard exists. As someone that loosely identifies as a "bear" (understanding that the labeling is also troubling), I tend to find older bear body types attractive and the "ideal". I once had a very athletic, muscle-y otherwise traditionally attractive man be so perplexed when i had zero interest because 1) there was not a physical attraction, but 2) he hadn't intellectually peaked interest. Conversely, one of my past relationships that ran it's course but we both appreciated for what it was... he had attraction to chunkier guys and I loved his 6'2" dad bod...visually we were a very odd couple but had a wonderful dynamic mentally and physically. The focus on ideals is so toxic and not reality. - Danny

It'd be pretty boring if there was a singular body standard. Variety really is the spice of life, especially in body types!

It's funny how the definition of the word "clock" has changed.
