    I think this is the best video on this topic. Many videos tell you to touch the "tip" of your tongue to the alveolar ridge. I kept trying that and it really hindered my speech. Now after watching this video when I use my tongue blade, my speech got really clear and I no longer get stuck while speaking.

      Yeah, depending on the accent SOME people use the tip of the tongue, but really, I find the vast majority of speakers (from the UK) use the blade. It's far easier to then give you that "poof" of air that you need for the t :)

    Thank you so much, Emma! I'm fluent in English but I still feel embarrassed to speak to native speakers due to my strong ts and ds. I know it shouldn't matter but the fact that you made this so easy to learn makes all of this seem less daunting to me. The fact that I can easily make these previously intimidating sounds now actually make me feel confident about my strong ts and ds. It took 10 mins, wow! Thank you!

    this teacher is really good honestly. I am learning 2-4 consonant sounds a day. I really like that she is being concise plus the comprehensive nature of her videos. I think i'll sound arya stark-ish very soon.

    Hey Emma, I have been teaching English for more than ten years, and I am enthusiastic about pronunciation. When I teach "t" and "d" sound, I say to my students that "your teeth should touch eachother for a milisecond." This is what I feel when I produce t or d. Do you agree ? Does A milisecond touch of teeth happen?🤔 Thanks for the video btw. Cheerio

      I personally don't make them dental, but some people do. It depends on the speaker, really.

    Thank you Emma! I was looking for the pronociatiom for "t" sound as i found i have difficulty to pronounce it between t and d and sometimes i pronounce t as "ch" sound. The example you gave on the video exactly the same problem i had - use the top of my tongue to pronounce "t" sound. Once i watch this video i was like OMG i hope i could see your video much earlier.       We don't use the flap t in the middle of words in British accents :)
