I live in the UK for the last 10years and from India .Though I speak English your videos helping me a lot with my pronunciation. I do follow your masterly videos. In fact, I do make my children watch too... Really appreciate your efforts!
I think you mean, “in the past love does NOT have the /t/ sound” 😉 Remember, ‘Love’ ends in a voiced consonant /v/ so it becomes /lʌvd/ with a /d/. Verbs that end in an unvoiced consonant will take the /t/ sound. For example Kicked (kɪkt) smashed (smæʃt) and popped (pɒpt).
hello, Mr. James I have been following your videos for a while, they are excellentes you had a very good pedagogy. despite my poor english i understand everything you are saying. and as your videos are very informative i share it with my group of students. I hope they will see them. thank you very much my most sincere respects and a big hello from Algeria.
James I am from India...you are incredible.... you have made spoken English a fun for non-native people like me. Hats off to your confidence, clarity and commitment 👍👍🙏🙏
Explanations about how to pronounce the letter D are very useful and helpful. Thanks for teaching silent letters not pronounced in a word. Many thanks for the informative lessons related to English pronunciation.
Thank you so much for this lesson, excellent as always! By the way, in the American accent, it is very common to change a /t/ to a fast /d/ or a flap t which is a /d / sound. Like water ( wa-der) but in the British accent uses a glottal t in the word “ water “
Hi James thanks a lot for your wonderful lessons. I watch your videos 3-4 times a day whenever I get the change . U are excellent English teacher 🥰 let's look your question:) I think shop :D
Ur teachings ability is fascinating & unique. I urge u to produce such vedio of all spheres of English language for benefit non English speaking people who are groping in the dark for not having any skill to speak English. Thank u for ur splendid work. God blessed u.

Hi dear teacher! WATCHING FROM ITALY..You always a Fabolous teacher!! I am learnig a lot .. my British English pronunciation improving a lot because of you the way you teach through your videos..very clearly Thank you very much for sharing
It is so good that you are teaching the language system. I wondered that there is no relationship between pronounciation and word. I am HKer. I would like to ask how to pronounce blending sound fluently. Although I can read blending sound, I can’t imagine blending sound in my head since HKese has no schwa (lazy) sound and sound of Chinese word will not change and clear.
