Season 2 Episode 10 "Not Like This"
With 51 on the verge of closing, the community rallies in protest; Casey, Mouch and Severide each do their part in a last ditch attempt to stop the closure while Boden gets some help from an unlikely person. Dawson gets some career-changing news. The men of 51 come together when they nearly lose one of their own at a massive apartment fire and Clarke becomes a suspect in a murder investigation.

1:46 The black woman leading the charge is that mom whose son fell down a laundry shoot and died after 51 rescued him. He had wanted to be a firefighter so they honored him on the way to the funeral. Nice to know mom continued to support them.

You know as great as this is, it really is a reflection on what happens in real life. Governments aren't willing to spend money on Fire and Police services because it "costs too much". You'd think that EMERGENCY SERVICES would be the number 1 priority for any city.
@@applecakelover419 Nope. Here in the UK too! Closing fire stations. Bought some new trucks. They were considered "more capable" so they cut the number of trucks and men! Bastardos don't understand one truck can only be at ONE incident at a time! Also you need men on the deck!

I stopped firefighting a long time ago. I am still fitter than most men my age that I know. I couldn't do it again day after day.

Even though he was only in this scene for a few seconds, you gotta love how the senator just absolutely OWNED Gail. First, he cuts her off before she can butter him up, then he changes the narrative of the situation so that instead of her closing a firehouse, she’s trying to save it, and then bails as quickly as he can before she can get another word in. Doing a count of Gail’s dialogue, she gets in 7 words during her interaction with the senators, and doesn’t say anything meaningful. Isabel was right. Gail was swimming in different waters and got eaten alive.

When I saw the neighbourhood come out to save the firehouse I had just watched the clip from when they did their best to save the child from the laundry chute but in the end he passed away and they gave him a formal firefighter goodbye/send-off and when I saw the mom come out to rally to save the firehouse, I immeadiately burst into tears.
Weirdly I just saw that same video with the laundry chute! The combination of the two is just so sad and heartwarming at the same time

This is how heroes are treated the men and women that serve our cities to risk their lives so we sleep safe at night this is my favourite moment. Blue Bloods, The One Chicago series are the best reasons for TV today

This is one of my favourite moments from the series. Gail’s determination to shut down 51 was easily one of the most despicable actions and to have her told off and shut down like this was SOOO satisfying
I know, The Senator's P.A. is dynamite! Right from the getgo, she showed that the politics of the Office of State Senator is a much more frigid water then that of local Council! She practically has a knife to Gail's throat yet she's smiling as if it's a pleasant conversation!

No, he moved to a different Firehouse (that was near his house) and became a Paramedic there.
He sometimes appeard in MED, but at some point stopped, because his contract has finished.

When the protestors came at the station and the firetrucks following them started to honk, it made me emotional for the dedication for just one fire station and that all help should be appreciated.

My favorite in this show is when Gail is put in her place, man that felt good!! The girl that did it….awesome!!
We had about 5x that many people protesting to keep a swimming pool up! Still got shut down and destroyed! Now we have to go to a pool that can hold like 20 people and ours could hold over 100
But this isn't a swimming pool or for fun, this is saving lives, so it's a completely different thing.
@@simply.stvrlightt I somewhat disagree, when you think about it really it provided money and jobs for the local economy, made it easier for children to learn a vital life skill and of course encourages a lot of fitness activity. Whilst saving lives with a firehouse is more important yes, I wouldn't deny the benefits of a local swimming pool for people to go to at all. Not to mention people who are too scared to exercise at a gym because of body image issues would usually prefer to go to a swimming pool.

One of the most memorable Community Scenes in the show. It nearly moves me to tears when I see it. Also seeing the horrible lady Gail being given the boot 👢 😄
i love how the violin part of the soundtrack in the scene with chief at the at start of the video foreshadows the ending with Matt's ending of the episode

Chief Boden loves all of his Team of Course but i love this Special Bond between Him , Casey and Severide . Because just in my Opinion Kelly and Matt are like Sons to him and i love these kinda Vibes . You can see that in so many One Chicago / Chicago Fire Clips either one of them or both them are most of the Time with the Chief .
Their hard work always pays off in the most life-changing of ways 💕💕 what an incredible community 😍
This show lost more main characters to them leaving or dying than any other show I have seen for years. It tries to stick to real life scenarios since they are first responders.

Only in America do cops and firefighters get treated like demi gods. Meanwhile those heroes on the medical front lines in your hospitals, clinics and pharmacies get treated like garbage, and paid next to nothing. Firefighters and medical personnel should get equal treatment and pay.
