      I have 1000/500 Mbps internet and still have lags in some games. My ping is very low (3-10ms) when using a near test server, but this doesn‘t mean, that server caused lags will vanish.
      So to everyone having lags and slow internet:
      These lags might be caused by the server you are playing on and not your connection.

      If you have speed problems and energy is cheap in your country, than Starlink might be an good option. Not as fast, as fiber, but at least usable for online gaming and 4k/8k videos.

    • @CyreenReginaldo
      @CyreenReginaldo 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@samsabrosa6841 I believe the regular or rounded cables are more expensive because the shielding inside is thicker than the flat ones.

    • @TubeofDestiny
      @TubeofDestiny 3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      More or less the same performance for basic use over short distances, however flat cables have 2 differences:
      (1) They necessarily have a thinner wire (nb: higher AWG rating = thinner wire) which mean they suffer more signal loss over distance (under 10 meters it's not really noticeable, mind) and they will have more trouble doing demanding PoE (Power over Ethernet, providing power to the connected device - from Wireless Access Points to IP cameras).
      (2) They necessarily have thinner shielding, which means higher interference can result in more packet errors and connection losses in worst case (if that cable is running solo in its path, it's likely OK - if it's on a switch/router/server, running along the same path of other cables, then it could get problematic).
      Flat cables, due to their thinner signal wire and thinner shielding, usually have a lower performance ceiling than the round cable ones (= flat cables max out earlier), so for professional uses it is recommended to go for the regular round cables. For domestic use, where the user is very unlikely to reach the maximum capacity of their ethernet cables, and the distance is usually between 5 to 10 meters, flat cables can be fine.
      The main appeal of flat cables for domestic use, beside the pricing, is the ability to run them through smaller gaps (in furniture, walls, doors) and under carpets, if you need the cable to go across a room. Flat cables are less durable than round ones in general, but if people are going to walk over the cables regularly, then flat ones are recommended: round cables are more likely to catch the sole of a shoe and get damaged.

      Hey i'm really not into the ethernet cable stuff what is the difference between a short cable and a long one? One last thing which is better cat6 or cat7 for gaming and thanks!

      ZinW it all depends on what you need bro. A shorter cable is always better because it takes less time to travel compared to a long one. How close are you to your router? If you’re close, get a short one. If you’re far get a long one. Also, you honestly need a cat 5e at minimum because it supports up to 1000 mbps. Cat 6 and cat 7 is quite overkill, but overall i would just get the cat 7. The cat 7 will give you a more consistent connection over the cat 6 in my experience. I have the cat 8 myself too btw.

      @Unknown X cat 8 is thicker and more insulated which is better because it will have way less signal loss. Ping is alittle lower put it mostly a lot more consistent

      @@dripzin313 Cable length does not matter until you get close to 100 meters (328 feet). Cat 6 vs Cat 7 makes absolutely no difference at all for gaming.

    Honestly??? i really don´t get the point of your video, are you trying to sell cables? why on hearth are you testing a cat7 cable on a PC network interface cat5e or cat6? and also your fiber optics modem also with a NIC CAT6? i yould go buy myself a 10G fiber modem with cat7 cable, then do real testing on a PC with cat7 NIC. and get real results for 10G speeds
