Wonderful!! Why is swimming classed as th overall best sport for fitness n metal well being?.From a Christian point if view, Jesus Christ is classesd as The Water of Life. When we drink from that Spiritual Well of Life we will never thirst again. Water revives, 💧 water refreshes, water energises, water quenches. Natural water typifies th spiritual. The look , th movement, th intensity, th calmness, th stillness. A spiritual being is clear, glides, is effortless. God is a spirit. How water makes me feel when I swim is how I feel spiritually. The two are entwined. As natural bread is to Jesus Christ being that spiritual bread of life that sustains us. 🏊‍♂️🏊‍♀️🏊🏾

I just learned to swim this year at the age of 43! I finally found an exercise I love! The thing about swimming is it’s ALWAYS a new skill to improve on especially new swimmers like me. You begin to drop weight easily. After swimming I’m hungry but I’ve noticed I don’t want heavy food. I usually want a salad and LOTS of water. I also sleep better. Once you start loving to swim you don’t realize how much time you’ve been doing it lol. Once I got over my fear of deep water, my excitement increased because I’m no longer stuck in the shallow end like a kid 😂!

After leading a sedentary life for the last 15 years, I've started swimming daily for the last seven months.
My BMI dropped from 41 to 30.
I've lost 36Kg (5.67 stones). I'm 41 yrs old and I have again the weight from when I was 25.
    My resting heart rate improved.
I stopped snoring and improved my sleep (I get more rest from 5 hours of sleep than before from 7-8 hours).
I wake up very early in the morning at 05:00 am and don't struggle going to sleep in the evening.
I get on time to work and I'm more energetic.
I'm a better husband and father.
Also, I'm an inspiration to my colleagues and my patients.
And, most important, I've managed to avoid any more suicidal thoughts. When I feel really low, I spend more time in the swimming pool and put more energy into it. Ending with a very sore whole body is a more acceptable way of self harm, it's not permanent and it has benefits in the long run. It definitely helped me in my grieving process following a painful separation 💔

I started swimming at age 67 and I can attest to the extreme changes in my body, my energy level and my mental outlook. When I say I started at age 67 I mean I started to actually learn HOW to swim. Working on proper form has me paying attention to every part of my body and what I’m doing with it at all times. It’s a full physical AND mental workout. My psychologist daughter tells me there is scientific evidence swimming builds new neural pathways and therefore improves memory. I believe it.
At 6 months I am swimming 45-60 minutes every day and I can’t wait until tomorrow when I can get back in the pool again. .

It sets this right. Makes me feel harmonius and meditative. If the zen state actually exists, it is located in a pool for me. I feel SO pumped after a session! It's surprising how it changes your mentality. At times it is so tough to get started. And then you think; "even if I just do a certain number of lengths today, then that is ok". What happens though is that you always end up doing more. Then I also believe that one of the great benefits is the brain engagement. You are continually analyzing your form while you swim. Completely focused on every part of your stroke, as you seek to improve.

I’m 60 now and had a heart issue last month that the consultant said could have been much worse if I hadn’t been so fit. I swam 3 times a week clocking up about 2K of moderate to fast swimming and it’s saved my life. Back in the pool this Monday after 5 weeks out and I can’t wait. You’ve no idea how important your videos are to me Fares. Thanks.

Thanks so much for your video. In the situation of the corona virus I have been able to swim in a private out door pool in NJ. I am so glad to be able to have the benefits of the swim. I am almost 70 years old and started surfing when I was 56. In my family every sibling has serious back problems and one sister who is 78 is literally in a hospital bed in her living room and has been bedridden for 2 years thus she has extreme muscle dystrophy. My other sisters are couch potatoes. I have been swimming all of my life and I have certainly reaped the benefits of health, good posture, no weight gain or weight loss. My muscles are very toned and I attribute that to swimming and yoga.

I remember finding this out when I was younger, sometimes I totally forgot why I did it, but then I always remember or come back after a while. Whenever you feel like you are just really unhealthy or terrible for any reason, you can literally just swim, and suddenly you are like an elite athlete. It's like it rejuvenates and also cleanses you in ways that literally nothing else can. I think swimming is underrated. The 'best eyesight' is attributed to a tribe that regularly swims and uses their eyes under water to swim and catch fish, makes sense. Especially once you are used to the cold, it's like this feeling of being a reptilian.

After I swim my 1 km routine I feel that I did something good to my all faithful body. My torax and arms muscles are noticeably inflated. Also, it seems to me that my body got more "compact" all around. I mean, I haven't checked my weight yet, and I don't think I shed weight so far, but it does look like there is less "space" or "jello" between the skin and the muscles.
A personal benefit is helping me to get more conscious about my posture strengthening my neck's muscles and helping to straighten my cervical spine. This is very important to me.
I started swimming two months ago or so. I'm 62 now. Last time I did it regularly I was 29. I took me long to return, but I'm glad I did.
