    Thank you sis, I had such a rough day yesterday I felt like a spirit of anger was all over me and I never want to feel like that!!! Thankful that tears left instead my eyes instead of wrath out my mouth, this was full of wisdom and I hope to take this message with me daily

    😭😭😭😭 wow. I was just praying last night about this and feeling pretty bad because I can't seem to stick to it. It's like 5 steps forward and than 3 steps back... Yes still moving forward I just want to get this. I get visions that pop in my head of me being this loving patient humble soft happy joyful mother and wife and think he's yes I can and than reality hits me and I am constantly praying asking for forgiveness from both my kids and our Father.
    Last night I kept getting they are only 2 and 3... Lower your expectations. I think we get in our modes and expect our children to know what to do when their brains are doing so much new work all the time! What they need is loving teaching. I too get wrapped up in what I'm doing thinking why do I have to tell you a million times what to do... I'm learning to now join them. Do things as a team as my daughter says. Mommy we are a team picking up. We need to set the example... Show them that we help as well... During this time when we can't get out... When we are at home alone with them 24/7... We have to be the good Holy example for them. That hit me hard. If we want our children to be compassionate... Are we? Same with all the other godly characters. Oh my what a book I wrote! Sorry!
    Well I absolutely loved this video. Definitely one of my favorites and will be watched over and over to keep myself in check. Thank you for being such a blessing in all of our lives! 💖 🤗 God bless you and your family! 💖

      Thank you for sharing, Mandy, and I relate to all the above! I do the same thing of just expecting them to be more grown than they are. In some cases, that’s a good thing! Having high expectations.... but sometimes they’re unrealistic. I’m so grateful that we can share how YHVH is directing each of us in our motherhood! None of us are alone on this journey. ❤️ 🤗 Thank you for sharing!! And many blessings to you!!

    This was such a blessing, I watched it twice. And I will likely watch it a few more times as I mull over the thought of being gentle and compassionate... I’m not a young mom and half my kids are teens, but I also still have young children, including a kindergartener and toddler! ☺️ I don’t have the energy I had as a young mom so it’s easy to get frustrated at the process of mothering the younger years...
    It was also interesting that you mentioned “after they are birthed... either by you or another woman”... since I assumed you don’t have adopted children. Two of my children are adopted and I just don’t see many people think of this perspective unless they themselves have adopted.
    I appreciate your channel! 💜

    • @WomenLivingTorah
      @WomenLivingTorah  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you for sharing, Shannon! I’m so grateful this video was a blessing to you! None of my children are adopted, but I think adoption is wonderful, and my personal story- while not involving ‘legal’ adoption- has somewhat to do with the idea of taking care of children who are not from your own womb.
      This is definitely a work YHVH is doing in my life and motherhood, and I’m not saying I’ll never get frustrated at my kids ever again, haha... But I’m thankful He’s making me aware of areas that need sanctifying in me. And so blessed I can share that here!! 💕 💕

I’m a new mom to a beautiful baby girl (our rainbow baby) and this has been so encouraging to me as I walk this path of motherhood for the first time. YHWH is good and loving and has provided and strengthened me so much thus far. I believe he brought me to your channel for a reason. Yah bless you🫶

    😭 I feel you!
    "For this season of littles, they need me in the bathroom with them, teaching them- not criticizing and correcting them from the kitchen." ~ Raquel Hiller
    In the past few months, one of my kiddos had been dealing with dental problems, and now everyday I go in the bathroom with him to ENSURE he is brushing correctly. It takes time, because then I have to go in the bathroom with my other two kiddos to instruct them, and at moments it could feel like, "but I could be getting other things done while you guys do this correctly on your own...", - but when I see it as "I am their mom, they need me. I'm alive and I get to help them..." That blessed perspective- seeing my role as a mother as a privilege, feels so much better in the present moment of doing the necessary task they need me for. 😄 Our children are the better part. And this time will pass and they will not be little anymore.
    Thank you so much for this precious video! ❤

    How long did it take for you to come to this perspective?
    What resources did you use to prepare for motherhood?

    • @WomenLivingTorah
      @WomenLivingTorah  ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s hard to say because lessons learned are often gradual and incremental…. But, my understanding of humility in mothering really became more well rounded where I could express it about 4 years into my motherhood. Certain elements I came into motherhood with, others I came to understand over time.
      And as far as resources to prepare for motherhood (and to continue growing in sanctification as a mother!), only the Scriptures and then of course conversations with other ladies and influences from books (like what is said of the mothers in An Old Fashioned Girl, Little House on the Prairie) or other TH-cam moms (specifically, Alana L through her older videos- I don’t watch any other moms regularly, although everyone I have watched has influenced me to some degree, I know!).
      The basic characteristics and qualities of a Godly woman (such as humility, self control, diligence/steadfastness, sobriety, purity, etc) translate into all facets of our life, whether it’s marriage, motherhood, homemaking, etc. As we pursue YHVH & grow in these ‘fruits’ of Godliness, then we also learn how they are applied in our various roles. So Godly motherhood is a natural overflow of Godly womanhood. 😊
