    Hi, please, what can i use instead of baking powder?
    Thanks xx

  • @Buonapappa
    @Buonapappa  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    I used all purpose flour. yes, you can use whole wheat flour instead. just note that whole wheat flour will be thicker and heavier than the all purpose one. I would start using less flour: 1 1/2 cup. see how it goes. if the mix is too thick, you can add few more tablespoons of coconut milk. let me know how it goes! ciao, b

    I would like to use 1 cup of buckwheat flour and 1 all purpose flour. Would you recommend modifying the other ingredients?

    • @Buonapappa
      @Buonapappa  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! The measurements look fine to me, no, I would not change the other quantities. Just remember that the pancakes will be a bit more dense. Ciao! b

    Hi what brand of milk would you suggest feeding a 1yr old and above?

    • @Buonapappa
      @Buonapappa  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! I always buy organic 2% fat cow milk, vitamin A + D added and sometimes enriched with DHA Omega 3. Those are the brands that I usually buy: Horizon, 365 brand from WholeFoods, Trader Joe's brand milk. ciao! b

    Hello as u mentioned agave nectar is safe for babies, I have 8 month old totally breastfed baby and I wanted to start formula but she refuses even a sip of it. Can I try to add agave in formula and give her and then gradually reducing the amount of agave till she drinks entire formula on its own?? Please suggest me! Thanks a lot!

    • @Buonapappa
      @Buonapappa  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Karishma! yes, agave is safe for babies, but I would not recommend to add it to the formula mix. I would rather suggest to try a different brand of formula, they really have a different taste. Both my Luca and Alex didn't like at all a very famous Formula brand and I had to try other three different ones before finding the one that they were fine with. I was curious why and I tried them and with my great surprise they do taste differently!! I hope I was helpful, ciao, b

      Yes i did try lot of formulas but she is not willing to take anything and that's why I have to feed her lil more of yoghurt! My 1st baby used to take formula like crazy but 2nd one hates it! I will still try to give her more of different brands! Thanks!

    Hi Barbara, my baby is now 14 months. What would be the substitute for the coconut oil and the agave nectar? can I use formula milk as substitute for the coconut milk?

    • @Buonapappa
      @Buonapappa  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Coconut Oil can be substituted with butter. The agave nectar with honey/maple syrup. Sure, you can use formula or, being your little one older than 1 year even regular milk. Let me know if she/he likes them!!! ciao, b

    If you freeze these - what is the best way to defrost them?

    • @Buonapappa
      @Buonapappa  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I tried different ways and that is what works for me: freeze the pancakes one separate from the other (I use some parchment paper) so that they will not stick. Place 1 pancake in the microwave for 30 sec and than in the toaster for 1 minute. Done! ciao, b

    Hi, any substitutes for agave nectar? i can't find them here where i live. can i use plain milk to substitute coconut milk and vegetable oil to substitute coconut oil? my baby is 13 months old now, i've been using most of your recipes since she was 7mo. can you please share an eggless apple pancake recipe if you have one. appreciate it. thank u :)

    • @Buonapappa
      @Buonapappa  11 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Sophia!
      sorry for the late reply, catching up with two kids :-)
      agave nectar can be substituted with honey as your baby is older than 12 months or maple syrup or dates. yes, you can use both plain milk and vegetable oil as your little one is older than 12 months. Eggless pancake, nice idea. thanks! I will put it in the recipe "schedule" ciao! b

    Hi! What can I substitute agave nectar for my 10month baby?

    • @Buonapappa
      @Buonapappa  9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      kaibin wang Hi! as your baby is not yet 12 months, you cannot use honey or sugar. I would use maple syrup or dates. You can soak 1/2 dates in warm water and let them rest for few hours. They will grow in size and get very soft and tender. Remove the pit and mash them with a fork. They are a wonderful natural sugar for your little one. Ciao! b

    Hi Barbara:)..how old can start give this pancakes??

    • @Buonapappa
      @Buonapappa  10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Tamara! I would say 7 months, all the ingredients can be given even at 6 months, it's just the texture that might need your baby to use his gums: break the pancake in tiny tiny pieces, your baby should be able to mash them with his gums, like baby cheerios! Enjoy!! b

      Hi Aliya!
      Agave nectar is a natural sweetener from the Agave plant. I can find it at the grocery store, it really looks like honey. You can substitute Agave nectar with maple syrup or honey (honey only if your baby is older than 12 months!). Ciao! b

      noodle and rice porridge are traditional baby food in many countries. Yes they are not very nutritionally efficient. But they are still safe. Flour is nothing different from white rice or noodles. And a pancake is a treat for babies. You don't let them eat this pancake every day for every meal.
