It’s really odd how Brett’s career has never really blasted off. He’s a truck champion, won multiple races in the trucks but hasn’t gotten a big break. For what he’s done in the Xfinity series he’s usually out performing the car he runs. Overall his career just screams odd to me. This was all the way in 2015 yet really nothing has panned out from that big moment.
Awesome video. I remember watching Moffitt and Pastrana run in east series and the Nationwide series. I saw both mwr wins at Sonoma.Trevor bayne used to drive the 99 out petcare care. Ryan truex ran for them also.Mwr brought some great drivers into the sport and gave them a chance. Wish Mwr was still around
Pretty dang good video man, little rough around the edges with the editing and script but still an entertaining and well researched video. You can tell theres alotta effort put into this. From one small video maker to another, well done.
You're getting somewhere. I like your pacing, i can see you've got a pretty decent grasp of a lot of fundamentals of editing, now its just a matter of nailing the details and mixing. Figure that out, and you've got plenty of great videos like this ahead of you. Everyone starts somewhere. Keep at it! Great work thus far.

We have to take a moment to really appreciate those NAPA commercials in the late '00s/early '10s. I'm sure it's just nostalgia for the time since I'm getting old, but those commercials were always entertaining.
MWR didn't have manufacture support from dodge in 2006 due to them having an alliance with Bill Davis Racing. If you rewatch the races from then you'd notice Michael would say Napa hotrod due to no support.
Great video! I see a lot of people in the comments trying to give you advice but I didn’t see anyone mention equalifying the low end out of your voice recording. There’s a hum coming through the mic you can’t only hear with headphones on. Hope this helps!
Kenny Wallace actually finished third in Michael Waltrip racing’s first start, he was given a black flag at the end for passing below the yellow coming to the line
Great video! While the editing is a bit choppy and I'm pretty sure I can hear some background noise coming from your mic, the pacing was really good and the overall scripting was amazing! Give it a bit of time to improve and I can see you going far!
(This is long, so sorry in advance. I wanted to provide some good feedback, as well as offer a different perspective on some of the statements you made.) This video was really well put together. Good job. This is stuff that will continue to grow your channel if you produce better and better. Something I would suggest is gathering more clips and using more clips that relate to what you’re talking about. Some examples would be using clips from Truex leading laps and Bowyer winning races when talking about each of them during your 2012 segment. Using clips from a random race where I see a Red Bull #4 car and a #17 car could be potentially confusing to a new or casual NASCAR fan. Additionally, using relevant clips for the time period you’re speaking about is good. I see the one race being played when discussing 2012, so I can assume it takes place then. But when I see it again when talking about 2013, it can be confusing. Or when 2014 and 2015 are talked about over an interview clip from an incident that was discussed prior that happened in 2013. This will all help the new and casual NASCAR fans, which is really what these types of videos attract. All of this wasn’t an issue in some other parts of the video, but matching clips with what you’re talking about will definitely help engagement. Here’s my “counterpoint” to the video. Branching off of the “why does it matter” segment. In my honest opinion, Brett Moffitt’s 8th place finish doesn’t matter. Sure it was a great run, but his performance the rest of the season didn’t do much for his resume. In fact his 2016 truck win probably had more influence in him getting a ride at Hattori in 2018. His Rookie of the Year campaign probably just enforced the fact that the rules for Cup drivers in lower series choked out talent from rising through the ranks. It was like this for the better part of 4 to 6 years, with the exception of Kyle Larson, Austin Dillon, and Ricky Stenhouse. Since the rule change at the beginning of 2015, we have seen some great rookie classes. I have to say that Atlanta was not MWR’s last hurrah. After Daytona (7th) and this Atlanta race, Clint racked up two top 5s and 11 top 10s, clinching a Chase birth. The race that best showed that MWR wasn’t a complete joke was Sonoma. Clint ran up in the top 5 almost all day, even leading a few laps. I vividly remember looking up at the leaderboard at times during the race and wondering how the hell Clint was running with the leaders. Performances like this are what kept him in the conversation for the final spots in the Chase that year, and that ultimately ended with a birth after Richmond. They fell out after the first round, but after the honestly disappointing start to the year after the qualifying crash in Daytona followed by 4 straight finishes outside the top 20, they put together an okay season. Finally, if this race and Brett Moffitt finishing 8th made Atlanta a race worth watching and racing at, then why can you only recall Harvick’s penalty after dominating the race? You said it yourself, after the mid-2000’s, Atlanta stopped having memorable moments. There some here and there, like the 2011 finish, Kahne’s 2014 win, and Harvick’s 2018 win (and just overall dominance year to year), but nothing special like the photo finishes of the past. In my opinion Atlanta really only became a worthy watch after the repave. That was put on full display during the two races this year, and will continue to do so as the surface wears out. Again no hate, I loved the video, just thought I’d offer some advice and different opinion! Keep it up!
Wow, that's the only comment that goes anywhere near approaching the length of my video. 😂. I really appreciate all of the advice and differing opinions, and I'm definitely going to use this to work into my future projects!
Always bothered me that MTJ was the one that got screwed over the most by the spingate controversy, when he had little to nothing to do with himself other than maybe knowing about it. Kinda weird that he got a championship with mwr's sponsor 5 hour energy later on after napa left him high and dry
Ok, I gotta say, this voice is very “Chills” but not quite, and at least he has ~some~ inflection in his delivery, albeit extremely bad, but this is worse. I just heard the 5 words, “el idge a bill a tee” when it’s supposed to be one word. The edits are clunky. The material is fine, the writing seems ok. Delivery, cadence, not annunciation, are key. I’m bored out of my mind listening to this and will be switching it as soon as I’m done writing. I know I coukd write a book here because this video is going on soooooo looooong because of the two words, “sec unt” and the three words “prob ab Lee” really slow stuff down. Fix it and I’ll come back.
Thank you! Yeah, audio was probably the hardest thing to get right through the video, but I'm trying to improve it through my next video so hopefully it turns out better
this is actually really well made, if you had someone to help you edit cleaner and with more high quality all your videos would be major bangers
Clear EmpLemon inspiration and that's no complaint. Very good video!
