Totally agree. Our biggest focus with dried spices has been to add in moisture to help add in the breakdown. Since they are bone dry, we add some water from our stormwater ponds to help things out.

Herbs and spices are just plant material for the most part- certainly compostable.
Also the particle size is tiny and ideal for composting 👌🏻
