@Ashley A claro, a mi nada de lo que él dijo, en el video del auto y en el video en el que están en su pieza, me pareció irrespetuoso o grosero. Hasta llegaron a decir que hablaba de forma despectiva de sus compañeros de trabajo y yo me quedé ??? porque en ningún momento habló mal de ellos, hasta decía que debían visitarlo porque quedaba muy lejos de ellos ya que nisiquiera viven en el mismo país. La gente mal interpreta todo y empiezan a cancelar a las personas que no hicieron nada

I went to a waldorf school from grades 3 to 8. Best decision ever. Made life long lasting best friends. My teachers always supported my dreams and I still actually visit my old teacher sometimes. When I went to public school from grade 1 to 2 teachers always said "she's too slow" "she is not a good reader she needs a lot of practice" "she's not learning at the pace as everyone else."
But the thing is everyone learns at different paces and in different styles and waldorf accommodates to you. And plus now this girl who is too slow, couldn't spell for shit, couldn't read well is a straight A honor student aspiring writer and due to my waldorf teacher's encouragement a model.

Regarding the payment: it is actually determined by your parents‘ income, so they’ll have to pay a certain percentage of it as tuition.

I went too at a Waldorf school in Mexico and it’s a experience I would never forget and change 🥰
In England Waldorf schools are called Steiner schools and also carry pre conceived prejudices about being to “hippy like” or “cultish” so it was really nice to watch this video and hear a different perspective from people who actually went to a Steiner school

Yes, unfortunately his theory on anthroposophy was extremely racist. We actually have a whole portion discussing this but I had to cut it it for time reasons

I’m a Waldorf teacher in Australia who has moved out of mainstream. I was miserable as a mainstream teacher, about to burn out then I found this form of education. So it’s not just the students who are happier, it’s the teachers! I’m so happy in my work as a Steiner teacher. It’s an amazing way to bring education to children. Well done, great video!

Definitivamente veo esto y me da un poco de envidia, y un poco de rabia, pensar en las diferencias entre países, obviamente envidia de la buena, por ejemplo, luchar para cambiar mi país, pero es que todo suena lindo, veo otros videos donde las universidades son hermosas, los colegios también, la educación es completamente diferente, y en mi país eso no sucede a no ser que tengas muchísimo dinero, la desigualdad es gigante.

Para los espectadores, lo que conocemos del actor es lo que vemos en la pantalla, y nuestras emociones se ven influenciadas por lo que está escrito en el guión, así como pasa en un libro. La diferencia es que en la pantalla le podemos dar una cara. Poder ver la relación que tenes con Lucas, poder conocerlo más a él a través de tus videos, nos permiten despegarlo de su papel y verlo desde otro lugar, hacerlos "más humanos". Lovely to hear from students who have been through the system. I am a Waldorf teacher in Africa and have been instrumental in starting two schools with a group of parents . We try to keep fees down and are cheaper than other private schools in the country and we don’t get subsidised . It is lovely to see the children so happy to learn ! Thank you for this video . Thank you, Shannon, for bringing back the joy of learning and reminding me of how grateful i am for having a very prestigious and precious education.
I too studied in a german-based school and, inspite of the immense workload we had from 1st grade all the way to 10th (because i left afterwards), i have come to acknowledge this rare educational priviledge, specially for being in the country i am from.
It was hard and challenging at times when learning new subjects and, at the same time, improving my german since it wasnt my native language but it was worth it.
I feel that everyone should have the opportunity to learn about the world with a passionate drive and view the world through a more creative and curious lense.
Keep doing you, you're amazing and an inspiration!
Ustedes son súper afortunados de poder haber tenido la posibilidad de estudiar en una escuela Waldorf, aquí en Chile son súper escasas y caras (expensive) y solo se empezaron a popularizar hace unos 5 años, anterior a eso era una realidad totalmente desconocida para nuestro país.
Tenemos que seguir luchando para que en Chile la educación sea igual para todos y todos tengamos las mismas oportunidades. 😔🇨🇱✌🏻

My sister and I just finished Anne with an E today, and we really loved Lucas in it. We're both also waldorf alums (didn't go all the way through high school though) , and randomly I was just scrolling through the few videos on the experience because for some reason I felt like remembering. Saw this one, squinted at the thumbnail, and yup its the main dude from the show we were just binging in the most unexpected place. I love life

I went to a Waldorf school in Sweden and it's interesting to see how much alike our experiences actually are
i went to a waldorf school in Germany from first to eleventh grade, which was like 5 years ago and a lot of my memories from it are starting to fade or be overshadowed by the high school experience i had afterwards but hearing you talk about all the little details makes me remember so much that's kind of slipped my mind and it honestly fills my heart with so much joy ☀ love this video! ❤
hahaha as much as i did enjoy my waldorf experience, i couldn't help but laugh when he called eurythmy "enriching". maybe i'm just bitter because once my classmate hit me in the head with one of those metal rods

I loved watching this video! It somehow showed up on my TH-cam feed. I went through waldorf education 1-12 in Norway, I later went through waldorf teachers education, and my two older children went from kindergarden through grade 10, and my youngest is now in waldorf high school. Watching this vide as a truly insider, I found it very interesting hearing your experience. Thank you for sharing in such a warm and honest way.

Más porque muchas han hablado mal de su novia ya que muchas tienen la idea de que el este con la actriz que hace de Anne:(.. El solo quiere estar tranquilo y vivir su vida, pero a la gente no le agrada eso y dicen que no es para nada agradecido con la serie ni los fans. Como ya dije, el solo quiere paz, está bien ser fans pero tomando en cuenta que muchas son niñitas aún no podemos hacerles entrar en razón que antes de todo el es un ser humano muy distinto a Gilbert.

I went to a Waldorf high school in South Africa & this video is so relatable ❤. . I struggled to adjust initially because I didnt think that I could draw or paint but looking back I'm so grateful to have had the experience. Its really something you carry with you wherever you go.

Thanks for your perspective. I am also a Waldorf lifer, a Waldorf teacher for 26 years, and both of my children are also Waldorf alumni. It was my only prenuptial agreement with my husband that Waldorf education was what our children would receive, and he readily agreed after all of our many conversations about our own educations. My son, who just graduated in June, feels very similarly to you and also reflected that he struggled with some of his teachers recognizing and supporting him after his ADD diagnosis. Our schools have work to do on various aspects of education, diversity, and inclusivity (financial being one of the biggest), and I look forward to examining how we go about being even stronger and healthier in the next 100 years. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts, it warms me to know that we all carry that spark of love of learning that has kept me intellectually busy, my heart engaged in learning about those around me, and my hands yearning for the next craft or artistic skill for pretty much my entire life. Keep on doing your work out in the world!
Me encanta la forma de enseñar de esa escuela, y creo sinceramente que esa es la forma en la que las personas pueden aprender mejor, a apasionarse, y lo triste es eso es algo que no se mucho hoy en día. También me gusta aprender muchísimo y me apasionan las cosas nuevas y poder enseñarlas de un método de genere curiosidad, es increíble! Ojalá pudiéramos crear escuelas así en todo el mundo y lo puedan tomar y recibir de una buena manera el mundo.
Im from Argentina, I went to a waldorf school here and i loved it. Definitely gonna send my kids to one. The school and everything is just so georgeous that I can't see another perfect way for the kids to educate and grow so freely ♡.

I attended a Waldorf school in California and it was the best years of my life. I learned so many things there and it made my interest in Science and Art grow.
I went to Waldorf as well but in europe in Czech Republic and it's kinda strange but also satisfying to see that even it's on another continent. The text books/workbooks are so alike! I didn't attend all of the grades because we moved to another country but still it's a period in my life I have fond memories of. And as a future teacher i'm thinking of going this path again. It is interesting to find out that there is another kind of educational system, it fulls me with hope on our society just to make things different and better, in my country I've never heard something like this, love you divulge this, I didn't know this existed

Fellow waldorfian here! This perspective is refreshing though because I feel like there is a lot of negativity about Waldorf education. Also this video was hilariously relatable on so many levels, even though my school differed a bit.

Awesome honest video. Thank you so much for posting this. I can’t afford a Waldorf school so homeschool my kids. I’ve actually been thinking about using the Oak Meadow as a guide. We are a bit eclectic now. My kids are young and basically “child-led learners”. Also.. I’m loving your videos. This is the video I found your channel through. I came back to it to comment because this is so helpful. Reading the Spanish while listening to an interesting topic is really helping me as well. Great project. Your not just helping yourself learn Spanish here. 🙏❤️

My kids went to a Waldorf school in Alaska!!! It was actually a charter school and my kids entered in the 1st year they opened! Not really knowing what it was about and ended up being the best decision ever!
My oldest daughter is in her senior year in college and plays in her University orchestra and is majoring in education with the hopes to be a Waldorf teacher!

hi! It's so interesting to listen to your guys' experience in a Waldorf school. I've been going to Waldorf since preschool and many of the things mentioned were very similar to what I had and learned. I didn't know that there was a Waldorf high school in Chicago. That's so cool!

I Love these young people talking about Waldorf with so much insight and open mind! I went to waldorf preschool up to 5th grade in Sweden and think it was a mostly great experience.

Sus expresiones le salen naturalmente que creo que ni el sabe cuando las hace son tipo Españoles , Italianos y Griegos que por aquí son normal .
En Europa Mediterráneo si un chico hace esas expresiones es lo más adorable y hermoso .

Y no necesariamente en esos lugares sino que depende de la persona que lo vea, por ejemplo a mí se me hacen súper adorables y me gustan. Pero en sí lo dije por qué son naturales como tú dices y me recuerdan a su papel en Anne with an E en las que hacía las mismas expresiones al actuar.

God how I wish I would have had a school like this. I went to public school for k-9th but I ended up trying online school for mental health reasons for 10th but Neither public or online school captured the way I liked to learn which is hands on or teaching myself about something through extensive research so I ended up leaving the school system and I’m getting my ged while I teach myself what ever else I want to learn on the side. Being able to explore curiosity is so important and the standard school system shuts that down a lot.

I'm from Stuttgart 😁 my niece went to a Waldorf school... I kinda like their concept... even though some ppl make fun of it... cause they think they are too alternative or whatever 😑 I always felt that a Waldorf school would have been awesome for me.
