SMC KA36 36" decorative metal blade ceiling fan in white with polished brass accents, still in its original box. It's been a long time again since I last put up a remake! This fan was accessible while I was moving some stuff around and since it was on the remake list I thought I'd go ahead and film it before burying it again. Still one of my favorite smaller fans, it's absolutely adorable and I love everything about it. It runs fairly quietly for a cardboard box variable speed fan, and since it's a curved blade fan it moves a lot of air pretty efficiently for its size. The one thing I really dislike is all the plastic (switch housing and canopies), I wish SMC had used all metal on every fan. That aside, it's of a really nice build and I overall just love it so much.

By the way, a couple things I actually really like about any ceiling fan with plastic parts (mostly like a plastic switch housing and what not), is that they are not too heavy to carry (like when putting it up), and it also gives a decorating look and a feel touching to it as well (kinda like on any craft items and what not).

Thing is the little parts really don't make any difference weight-wise. Even most fans with plastic motor housings aren't a great deal lighter. Outdoor fans are really the one place where I think plastic/ABS/composite belongs.

did u notice by chance that the airflow is downward for the most part?

When you mention it, yeah, it is a little more downward than you'd expect with curved blade fans. I still get some of that outward effect, but there certainly is a lot of direct movement underneath.

+Vintage Fans & More yea it's a crazy performer underneath but not to great outward. not sure how I like the look of the PB and white, the switch using just looks off. and yea, I definitely agree that smc should have used Metal switch housings on all models. but other than that great fan. spin down on mine is pretty abrupt as well.
