Fun fact about the castle and city layout: Matt Mercer created THIS city and the animators made sense of it structurally, but otherwise, this is exactly how it appears in the game & campaign books made before the show was pitched. The next city was co-created between Matt Mercer and Taliesin Jaffe (Percy).
Fun facts about Gilmore's Glorious Goods: it's what is on a lot of Critical Role's merch tags, the sandal is in reference to Gary Gygax's sandal, which traditionally gets passed along to different DMs year to year as a funny & weird D&D thing. The book Tusk Love was a smutty book that appears in campaign 2 with the Mighty Nein, the Lance of Dragon Slaying is in reference to the Dragon Lance series.
Gold fact: they did research about when it melts and how it conducts electricity before animating it.
Final fun fact about the troll appendage: it was in reference to a pre-stream game moment. Oddly, a lot of D&D players wind up with weird stuff in their loot bags.
Also yes, it's Gray. She's fantastic...and Marisha Ray fangirled just a bit when they convinced her to come on. Rightfully so.

2:15 This animation studio is not the one that did Korra. AFAIK, this is a common mistake people make for three reasons:
    1) Avatar got its start using a lot of people working for a company called “Tin House Inc” which of course sounds kinda like “Titmouse Inc.”
Titmouse is a completely different studio, and the primary artists, storyboards, etc . for this show deserve proper credit for their work.
    2) Titmouse was contracted by Activision to do the cinematics for the Avatar and Korra VIDEOGAMES. But they didn’t do the Korra TV show at all.
This video game crossover seems to confuse the most people.
    3) “The Legend of Vox Machina” and the Avatar/Korra shows both use S. Korean production studios. Production Reve, the studio that works on Vox Machina, occasionally has picked up work for sister studio Studio Mir (Avatar/Korra/Voltron) and helped out on the very last season of Korra (season 4) and Voltron, but the primary production studio for Avatar/Korra/Voltron was always considered to be Studio Mir. Production Reve is certainly becoming a powerhouse of their own with this series however.

The reason many of the voice actors are producers on this show, is because they are the cast members of Critical Role. They created their own characters, created the story this whole thing is based on, and own and control the IP.

Tenant is the best Scottish dragon since Connery! Dragons are apex predators -- you need some very very *very* powerful magic to control one.
That Sandal is the last sandal Gygax made before he said, "F*ck this!" and D&D became his day job. He never made the matching one. IIRC, it gets auctioned off to a new owner every year at GaryCon, and the proceeds go to charity.
They don't really tell you this during the show, so I don't feel bad filling in the info. Vex & Vax had a human mother and an elven father. They were the result of a 1-night stand. Their father didn't know they existed until they were pre-teens. He took them away from their mother and enrolled them into elven schools that taught them how to be sneaky and kill. He didn't do this out of love or honor; he did it so he wouldn't look bad because he was so close to nobility. Minor spoiler -- we get to see more of their backstory next season.

?? Weird that you give away all that info about the twins backstory while admitting it gets more explaination next season, whats the point of putting a spoiler note at the end.

Vex and Vax: There was another Critter (Critical Role Fan) who came up with an easy way to remember the Twins names, though you were correct when you initially guessed. Think of Adam and Eve, Vax has an “A” as in Adam and is man, and Vex has an “E” as in Eve and is a woman. Don’t worry everyone has/had trouble with this including the other players at the table. Liam O’Brien and Laura Bailey who played/voice the Twins did it on purpose to prank their friends lol.
Music: The cast all felt it was important that Vox Machina is not a historical fantasy so they wanted to make sure the music is pulled from all kinds of genres and styles from all over the world :)
The episodes really kick off from here on in! Loving the reactions so far can’t wait to see the next one!

@@NarujenReacts Sean Connery voiced the dragon in Dragonheart. The dragon in this episode was voiced by David Tennant (more well known as Dr. Who).
