Spectral packs have synergy with taro cards. 18:15 there is a spectral pack that changes all cards to one suit.
These Balatro videos (the music especially) are super relaxing for me
I love the music too, but you must have the volume cranked I can't hear the music without having the egg yelling full blast

I got so twisted watching NL play balatro although the banter is amazing, the game play made me have an aneurysm. I got the demo and beat it doing a high card,pair,two pair, flush, and straight flush "only" build just to satisfy my mind palace

I don't know what NL is talking about when it comes to liking comments that are the same dumb joke. I will often give thumbs up to comments that are the same joke that I would have commented, except someone got to it before I did. That way I don't flood the comments with more of the same joke.

I guess now is as bad of a time as ever to write up my Anthem postmortem. Anthem was and likely still is the best iron man simulator we ever got and I genuinely think that if the game had any actual fucking CONTENT we would still be talking about it fondly today. Unfortunately EA went and fondled the game and genuinely fucked it. If someone out there has the engine or the source code for Anthem and wants to shadow drop it to some passionate modders it could become a wonderful game.

In NL’s defense of the flushes, I feel like the current Demo’s joker set aligns to make Flushes better on average. The closest competition is obviously Straights, followed by maybe Three of a Kind with that Three of a Kind joker that does 2x.
I feel like it. The first demo was primarily set to high card or low card wins so I feel like the devs are just work shopping specific build types with the demos
Most jokers use the phrasing like "if hand contains", which means that it works with other hands too. So the joker that gives x2 mult if hand contains three of a kind works on full houses, 4 of a kind, 5 of a kind, flush house, and flush five
Also Four Fingers is the best non-mult card and compliments well with either flush/straight builds. It makes the final boss a breeze if you've made your deck good enough to draw 4 cards you need

I'm really enjoying Balatro, but I am disappointed to hear that the Cine2Nerdle battle videos weren't doing too well. I was so excited whenever one popped up. I hope you do more of them in the future!

The previous demo had insane cards for more variety of builds imo. Like small hands shenanigans including mult on playing less than 3 cards, discard shenanigans, grouping suits by color, hand type mult multipliers, unique uses for cards augments, etc. It's crazy how creative the jokers get for this game

Egg is absolutely right here 10:21 Goldmember was super funny to me when I was in middle school, but compared to the first one it's absolutely dreadful. The only saving grace is Michael Caine as Austin's father. Other than that it's recycled jokes and the virtually non-existent chemistry between Mike Myers and an auto-pilot Beyonce.
I rewatched the first one recently, it blew ass. hasn't aged well at all. back in the day I kind of considered it two duologies, 3 has more jokes from 2 and 2 has more jokes from 1

they should really nerf flushes imo, they are way to easy to play + the tarot cards that changes 3 cards to a single suit is really op, it really makes you play 80% of runs with flush strats instead of expierementing
