Really great match to watch for us lesser players, an FM showing us how it's done!
Well, I'm not impressed by a FM missing a knight fork, I actually don't know how he missed that.
@@robertomariani626casual coffee table chess after playing tennis
@@robertomariani626okay, mister “GM” we’re not as amazing as you.
Dan played very well. Would love to see more games from him.
*Loses on time*
"Alright, I'll take the draw [that wasn't offered]."
Botez gambit at the end.
"I just want my sac to mean something ". I've said that more times to myself than I can count. 😅
Great game by Dan. He was always in control.
For information, Dan’s Fide rating is 2365 and NOT 2500.
are you sure
@@schachschach9119 yes, he is a Fide master. If he is Daniel hos rating is 2365. Besides, 2500 is Grandmaster not Fide master
@@kevinwellwrought2024 how do you know he is 2365 tho
@@kevinwellwrought2024 You need the other Gm norms, not just hitting 2500. Also the title likely refers to his online rating
it is 2500 ONLINE so it means OTB lower
Dan was playing everybody. Good work Dan
great camera angle
There was a set up on 7:47. Black could have played r to d7.
White can't take rook because then black can take the knight and get mate and you can't take with the queen either.
You jeopardize your queen though if white goes kt to b1 but you get 2 rooks for a queen.
Re2 an Kg1 but cool idea
I don't think it works because white can play knight back to g1. Better would be Knight to d7 because you can play Rxd4 for black on Ng1
love this!!! just subbed too :))
He's wearing the RF cap !! Roger Federer and plays chess of course im interested to watch !
This is one of the cleanest coffee chess games that I’ve seen
"He used to be an AM, too."
-- the Great Carlini
Just this morning.
You're still the best Alex...love your videos!!!
Great Game ✌🏻🙏🏻
5.24 black horse fork between queen and rook
You probably won't see this, but I'm curious Alexandria, if you were having a custom chess set made for you what features would you want it to have? Board and pieces.
Hey! That was a satisfying game... I saw the fork 😆
Alexandra is not an easy opponent to beat. That is some aggressive chess!
I can hear the feisty kid and turn the camera to watch his game
"I am experimenting". You are getting a good, solid, unpredictable understanding of the game IMO. You are the kind of rare person who wants to not only know the history of play, but develop/invent your own game. When you bring your own game to a big tournament, even the best do not know what to do, (they learn quick though, so don't flaunt it, and you won't have to start over as often.). Big pressure, not knowing what to do. That tests the cracking point of any human being IMO. The fact that you have more experience with "the experiment" does tip the probably of success in your favor IMO. You are doing what we are suppose to do,--"Think". I dig that. :)
Not a "unpredictable understanding", but a understanding that is unpredictable for your opponent.
nice hat! RF is the man
does Dan have a channel? I like his play
5:26 I don't see why he didn't fork her queen and rook with the knight, seems to be possible and there's no checks, which means the best she can come out of it is losing a rook for a knight.
Rook B2 takes pawn on B7 which threatens the queen and she has nowhere to go
@@wanccer175 that is just a bad counter-attack. After Nc3 Rxb2 Qxb2, you're actually down a rook for a pawn instead of going down an exchange.
love it in the Film's one move a day/next time u meet '.kk
play some one one move each a day and speed it up for us ..xxx
5:23 why not fork here with the black night to c3?
Curious, will these guys play you if you just roll up and want to play? Or do you have to be a rated player?
Yes they will. I already played against Kai and managed to win 2 games in a row
I bet they do, but only rated and OG players get featured on the channel
Who's kai?@@arvin7528
5:30 black missed a knight fork ?
At 7:37 he should have played Ne2 to block the Queen’s defence of the Knight on f3.
Ng1 back and there is now a triple attack on your knight you cant move the knight anymore as then White takes your queen..
Did anyone notice at the end they set the pieces on wrong sides
He had some good tricks! 🎃
That's a fine looking chess player
Why did Dan trade his Bishop on A3 around 4:20?
Probably to prevent a sacrifice of the rook on D5 which could lead to loss of that bishop.
He should recognise alexandra botez wgm
@5:29 why didn't Black fork queen and rook with knight?
ah the analysis after mentions this
I guess because he missed it. Exceptionally strong players sometimes blunder, especially in Blitz. Even Magnus blunders from time to time.
I don't understand the disclaimer (of rules) near the beginning of the vid. "Playing clock move, (---), & OK to take the King to win the game."
How else do you win? Taking the King is the object of the game that decides the winner.
Are you guys feeling OK?
Because it's not the objective of the game? The objective is checkmate, which doesn't involve taking the king...
The rules normally also actively prevent taking the king...
Allowance of taking the king is a special exception, usually seen in blitz--hence their disclaimer.
Are you feeling ok? If you're going to be condescending, at least try to be correct when you do so...
e4 was pretty cool!
g4 and g5!!
I just want her experimentational creativity to pay off too. lol
I play tennis Ok lets play some Chess ! ATTACK ! DAN THE MAN SLAYS DOWN THE BABA ROGA !
Did he miss a pin at 5:27?
bro was an IM then took and arrow to the knee
4:31 What they were talking about "Oh, he saw it.."?
if Black doesn't move his queen, then White can play Qxd5, and if Black recaptures with the pawn, then their queen hangs to the rook on c2. White finishes the exchange a piece up.
He missed Bc3 after Rb1. Fork.
Of course, if Alex would have known about his strength, she would have played a little more cautiously, concerning her given pawn.
Maybe, but you should be able to tell from the opening how good your opponent is
Anybody else see the fork on c3 at 5:25?
My thanks to the camera man. He did a great job showing off the pieces.
@ 6:52 Kd5! go!
sorry if this is a dumb question, im not the greatest player, but at 5:23 didnt he have a fork with knight to c3?
and at 10:10 did he have knight takes f4?
The answer to both of your questions is yes. They are addressed after the match. You should watch the video till the end.
what did he saw ?? when he moved his queen can someone answer
Ive never played much chess in my life, but is that move at 2:55 allowed?
Carlini knows Run DMC!
I got distracted...
I like how these humble players… there’s killers out here in these chess streets.
At 5:25 Black missed Knight to C3 winning the exchange
I saw that too but assumed there was a reason he didn’t play it? Seemed like an obvious fork
I noticed that too and I don't see any reason why that couldn't work, there's no checks or mate threats, and there's no way to save both rook and queen.@@cdevenney84
NO WAY TWO FAN MASTERS
She doesn't recognize the Roger Federer logo on his cap.
She almost played a Botez gambit!
She botezed her queen in the end. Got to stay true to your style even if that dumps your rating below 0.
somebody can explain me why dont took the queen in the minute 8:48
Played Rc2 a little late I think
I wondered why the beauty non stop self talking while chessing even the guy did not answer much. It's annoying for someone needed thinking 😂
The trick he thinks at 7:30 probably is Rxd4 Qxd4 Qxf4 Kg1 Ne2 Rxe2 Rxe2 Qxa7
But it won't work because white gets a pass pawn.
The trick that worked is Ne2.
The game they are playing is, “I am going to PRETEND that I do not recognize that you are a master, so the video will be more intriguing. It is a charade.
7:37... ..... R-K2? Could that have worked?
Why did she say he still can't castle? Why not?
Am i missing something at 6:10? Slide the black Queen to h3.
just think about it for one second please, what is the queen doing on g4...
Enlighten me@@camerondavis6607
What a smartass she is!!!
She saw the movie 'back to the kitchen' again :D
When did he offer the draw?
He didn't.
She was joking. I know, hard to do for some people as they lose a game, but she did it easily. :)
Gray shirt has the best views
I so like comments of Great Carlini 😅
I’m new to chess, can someone explain why he couldn’t castle?
Mainly because he needed an additional defender (the king) for the bishop. And lastly, he ended up moving the king because he got sick of the pin that occurred from the rook+queen meaning the bishop couldn't move.
Why didn't she take the queen after 8:48?
Also wondering
@@marcusrucker8121 because taking queen means opponent will have rook rook knight versus queen knight
at their level, this is not only more material, but tactically having two coordinates pieces can be better than one. Depends on situation though, playstyle, etc.
Oh! Got it; thanks.@@samzhang867
Does ne3 do something
5 mins 24 secs black misses knight fork on queen and rook.
at 8 minutes 48 why did she not take queen
Românca noastră frumoasă și deșteaptă!
that was amazing, not Clutch made so many improving moves. Why didn't Alex take the Queen? Also Carlini zingers were on point, I belly laughed.
Bro man that camera angle
Alex talks like the man
With what she’s wearing it’s tough for me to pay attention to the board.
Why didn't she take the queen
7:47...Ne2 would have been winning
Good one, but I think Re2 would be even better and finish the game
Champion 👏
Whats the real name of dan the clutch name
Kb5! ughh before the rook was at c5
I still don't understand the appeal of chess players hiding their skill level/ranking just so they can "surprise" their opponent with how good they are. If they did it to be humble, that's different.
Yeah you gotta be upfront with your rating- otherwise you're just hustling. I'm 90% certain Alex would have defeated this guy without to much trouble is she had known his rating.
What did he see at 4:28
He saw that he was about to lose both his queen and his knight if he didn't move his queen, but she'd only lose her queen.
What is a FM?
FM is an abbreviation for FIDE Master, which is one of the official titles a chess player can receive from the International Chess Federation, which is also known as "FIDE." . FIDE Master (FM) is the third-highest title a player can achieve, the second highest being International Master (IM), and the highest being Grand Master (GM). To achieve a ranking of FM, you must have a rating of at least 2300, and if you are an FM you are in the top one percent of chess players in the world.
2500 FM?? Give Him His GM Title LOL 😂
though Bot ez to lose to , this channel brings back the "casual vibes" (chedss is not war
They are being coy, good game.
Please can someone tell me why he didn't castle at 3:25.
‘cause, white rook takes knight, then black’s bishop will be unprotected. So it’ll be a rook for a knight and a bishop. A minor advantage but that’s all you need…
If he's so good how did he miss the obvious Nc3 forking her Q and R after she went Rb1?
left a knight hanging and ran into a fork...
Always a pleasure to watch IQ superiors duke it out and in good faith! Keep on keeping on my friends.
Alex Botez giving away a free pawn cemented her fate if she'd have known he was an FM she would have used some of her Famous Tricks i'm sure and may have got a draw
He shouldn't have accepted that.
Alex trying to trash talk is extremly cringe
Quack Quack!
Strong FM
