Perfection! I have played my guitar for years and I have always been curious about how guitars were made and polished. Thank you for this and more power Sir!
Beautiful!!! Maybe you should also start making a video about guitar maintenance, like proper acoustic guitar set up. 'Cause we guitar players also need to take care of our guitar and here you are, a guitar maker who absolutely know what your doing could realy help us😊 Thank you😁
Rod, some use ZPoxky (don't think I spelled that correctly), others tint drywall compound and lightly sand, others use sawdust (made from the end grain of a piece of your wood) with shellac and sand gently.
I want to start playing guitar, though I have no experience, does any one have any recommendations for a good beginning guitar for $300 or less? Thank you for your help.
Try out a Martin LXK2 at your local guitar store. It may be small but will be easy to play if your just starting out. I have a dreadnought jre and the tone and playability of it inspires me to improve my technique even when practicing tedious and difficult exercises. Above all though I would recommend you learn a chord or two and just try out a range of guitars and see what feels right for you.
For that amount of money you may get a decent sounding guitar, but most important in a beginners guitar is play-ability. You want a guitar that can be set up properly. Most of the big-name companies do a decent job with the neck angle. Look at Takamine, Yamaha, others... (Yamaha FG 830 is a full size guitar right at the top of your range, and it's well reviewed afaik) Don't go super cheap as you're more likely to get a guitar that is both hard to play and sounds inferior.
You do know here in England we don't drink breakfast tea. Now Yorkshire tea that's something Else you need to try that instead its far superior believe me
Two questions Monty: Ok, One question because my first question was already asked. And, I hope you have a good supply of nitrile gloves, because I have just run out and don't know when I'll be able to get more.
I can't get over how beautiful this looks and it's so nice that you are sharing your knowledge for generations to come.
Hopefully someone will want to build or finish building a guitar.
thank you Monty
Loved the opener Monty! That was a great effect and was a fun new way to start the video.
I do like my tea.

Thank you so much. I appreciate that.
I've always hated pore filling and always have to sand back a little. You're a very patient man, Monty.
I'm with you. But, a good pore fill helps the guitar look better.
@@MontyMcKinnon Oh yes, it's essential on porous woods, and I'm very glad you went with black on your rosewood!

Check out Amazon or your local music store. But, always buy the best instrument you can afford.

Would a Yamaha FS800 be good? Thank you all for your help.
Why wouldn't you do this step before permanently attaching the neck?
Actually I did a few coats and if I need to sand to make adjustments to the fit it might not look very good.
