Nice video. I have a 1970 a 1980 filter queen and a 1990 filter queen it is a 95x. They are great machines I use them mostly for cleaning out other vacuums that I service. They have great suction. I think about 89 inches of water lift and about 100 cfm. I rebuilt the 1980 filter queen with new bearings and spliced one of the lead wires.

Just got one today. With extra filters and 2 year warranty on the motor. $300 though. But all the attachments are there as well.

This vacuum cleaner is magnificent! Look at that real metal and quality hose, what a beauty! You don’t see quality like this today. Vacuums nowadays look like cheap plastic toys and they are mostly made in China. I wonder if Filter Queen is still this nice or if their quality went downhill.

The quality went down a little bit but they are still great vacuums

I have a Lindhaus DP5 vacuum it’s a vacuum cleaner good enough for me to call it a home cleaning system. It’s made out of a heavy duty plastic that never becomes brittle.

The old filter queens with the twin stage suction motors up to the triple crowns makes a very pleasant sound. It’s basically a thousand hour motor. The 360s makes a terrible screamer sound a crime against lamb electric the supplier of the suction motors for central, commercial, and high end us made vacuums. Rainbow Vacuum being the newest SRX model followed is the best sounding of all tank style canisters. It sounds like a cross between an 1100 watt 2 stage 5.7 Ametek lamb motor and a jet engine, I love that sound. I hope the next generation filter queen features an SRM motor no higher pitched than 385 hertz on normal vacuuming operation.

Wow even metal attachments?!! Man, we are really getting the shaft today. I wish I could go back to the 80s.

I suspect that the attachments, hose and hose fittings were made by the same supplier that Kirby used. Everything on your machine is made of incredible quality.

Did you finally get one? If so, what did you find? I get them all the time at estate sales. Working condition. Nothing sucks dirt like an old vacuum cleaner with the great motors. Just saying. I have four different brands and models right now, including this Filter Queen.

Also you want to try to not take the paper cone out unless you intend on replacing it. It gets the gasket dirty and could get into the motor. Taking a peak is okay. But don't take the cone off and put the same one on. Because you want the bin as clean as possible including the gasket when putting the motor back on. Also you could probably use a new brushroll

Are the cone filters compatible with both the old Filter Queen models and the more recent models (of the same brand)?

It's pronounced "cell-you-los" like cells inside your body. And lows. Like high and "low" but with an S at the end. So it's cell-you-low-s. If you remember from biology class, cellulose is plant fiber material. But it's breathable when it's weaved like this is.
