  • Today is my first day actually working the new plot and my main objective was to clear some of the weeds that run the length of the 30m polytunnel. In addition I also finally get to mulch some of our home vegetable beds

Wow look at that smile on your face, the last time I can honestly say I’ve seen you smile so much was when the goats had babies, so happy you have found your “smiley place” again, you, Jackie and the kids are going to make it a storming success for sure, and I can’t wait to see much more of it, we have just come home from a weeks holiday on a youtubers small holding and I’m buzzing with ideas, can’t wait to get down to my allotment now, Keep that smile, take care guys x

Super exciting to see the start of a new project and follow you through your thought process, Carl. Can’t wait to see what gems you uncover from Sally’s legacy.

👨‍🌾 I love your garden!! Such a great inspiration to me. I can see you put a lot of work and love into growing! All the hard work it worth it to me to get to see the new growth everyday brings me so much joy! It’s coming to the end of my 3 season gardening but there is still so much to learn and I appreciate your tips, tricks and advice! I’ll defiantly be watching more to learn as much as I can during the off season. I make garden videos too and I look forward to learning more from each other as we grow!

Dear Carl, SO exciting to see you working on the grounds. Will have to pick up one of Sally's books so I can follow you around the property!
Make working on it a pleasure - and bring us along of course. See you on the next one. Best, Alex - NetZero Homestead

Great stuff Carl. So much to do but so many possibilities! What a brilliant plot. 👌
Looking forward to following you during this next chapter. We actually have Sally’s book on this very plot on our ‘want’ list. Couldn’t believe it when this turned out to be your new space! Keep up the great work and thanks for finding the time to take us all along with you. 👍

You were not joking about the mulch/slug problem! I've mulched my beds this year and my cabbages have been infested by slugs!

Oh no! I am hoping we will get away with it this year as it’s been so dry for so long 🤞

Yea there will be a ton to do to get most of it back to a growing state.
I am thinking I might have some kind of open day in exchange for some produce when it’s producing for me next year.
