- Welcome to The Makers, where we celebrate innovators, artisans, and crafters of all types by taking you on a private tour of their creative spaces.
Our Place co-founder Shiza Shahid peels open the elegant wood doors to her sunlit Spanish-style home in Los Angeles, where she lives with her husband.
The entrepreneur and activist is well-known for her focus on culture and tradition, which comes through clearly in her soulful selection of home accents and detail-rich textures.

This is a real home, very beautiful, very classy & cosy spaces. Not the usual overdone homes (where they dont know whats going on on the next end. Definitely nice for entertaining friends/family
Beautiful home! 😍 I’m surprised at how relatively modest it is compared to the success of their company. I love Our Place items. I have an open kitchen and it’s so nice to display my pots as works of art themselves.
What a beautiful home.
Fantastic table setting 👌 👏 👍
Wow beautiful home
Beautiful lovely home !!
Thank you! ✨
beautiful home
Love the concept of these "The Makers" videos. I love how these women have made their homes so unique by not copying the typical IG cookie cutter decor. Wish these videos were (much) longer and would go more in depth into their styling choices and inspiration. ♥
Thank you so much for this feedback! We love sharing these videos with you all so much! ✨
Beautiful home..
Thank you! ✨
Absolutely beautiful home but my goodness, it seems like she's trying hard to put on an accent or style of speaking. Just speak, people will listen regardless
