    This is the theme plus one other song from a movie of the same name. The movie is the third movie in a trilogy and this orchestra has done the theme for the other two movies. The first movie in the trilogy is called "A Fistful of Dollars."

  • @panosbozopoulos5212

    The first part is called ‘The good, the bad and the ugly’ just like the title of the film.
    The second part with the soprano vocals is titled ‘Ecstasy of Gold’ from the same film.
    To perceive fully especially the atmosphere of the second part, I strongly recommend to watch the film and particularly the scene near the end which is accompanied by this tune. The scene is directed masterfully by Sergio Leone and is in turn masterfully backgrounded by this music.

      And to my knowledge, Morricone never actually saw the film being made, but made the music only from asking!

      @@finncarlbomholtsrensen1188 Honestly, I never heard of this. However I doubt it, because the relevance between the two last pieces ('Ecstacy of Gold' and 'Trio') to the respective scenes in the graveyard, are very strong. I don't know.

    What I find amazing is that the music played is identical to the theme played in the movie.
    Seeing it put together in such a professional way 50-odd years later is just _incredible ._

      Not incredible Clit Eastwood was the star of the movie The Good, the Bad and the Ugly 1967. Clit Eastwood was and is a huge star. That is the reason that introduction song got so popular!! I lost count how many times I have seen it.

    • @svenlima
      @svenlima 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It was not "put together" but it was composed exactly this way - it's the original composition.

    • @MartinBeerbom
      @MartinBeerbom หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@svenlima The original orchestra used for the movie was way smaller, though. They didn't had the budget to hire many musicians. So, yes, this here was expanded, which DOES require some work.

    • @svenlima
      @svenlima หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@MartinBeerbom I assume that this version like the the one in the movie are original compositions as the composer passed away only a couple of years ago.
      Anyway, I'm just not happy with the term "putting together": For me it sounds like tinckering".

    They did another song in this concert,'Once Upon a Time in the West' (also a movie) and in that performance, Tuva, the 'wawa girl' takes the vocals...and she absolutely shines in it.
    Also, I would suggest you check out the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain cover of this.
    Different but terrific.
    And the movie this is from, same name...well worth the watch!

    Just remember, people did this...a group of people, different backgrounds and nationalities, all pulling together and if ONE single note is out of place, ONE, the entire piece is ruined...I can't imagine the hard work, discipline and raw talent that goes into this, none of us will...OK having said that, this is from legendary composer Ennio Morricone (1928-2020) and among many others scores, this is his crowning achievement and many of todays composers have been heavily influence by him, legend just isn't enough, the director of this movie was Sergio Leone (1829-1989), another director who has also influenced many others like Martin Scorsese and Quinten Tarantino, legend doesn't do him justice either, both these men are way beyond that....OK the orchestra itself, world renowned and just listen to what else they have done... Tuva Semmingsen (Wah Wah) is a Norwegian Barocco and Mozart mezzo-soprano singer, she's wearing gun shaped earrings to boot! There's a harmonica in sync with her during those wah wah's and check out her other works, (Bang Bang), Christine Nobo Anderson is another beautiful singer, you have to have, besides the raw talent, an incredible amount of training to control your diaphragm and breathing to use such an instrument, the entire piece is just amazing and really is the only event I would pay a grand a ticket to see.

    I would add that this is done in one take. No restarts if someone flubs it. All those people come together, at once, in perfect unison, in front of a live audience.

    • @tannhauser5399
      @tannhauser5399 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Nothing to add here. But I'm always suprised why people think that this wasn't done in one take?? Why whould you even think that?
      That is the main orchestra we are talking about here. At this level, you practice every week, every day, every month, for years. Just to even get to that level. In a lot of cases since early childhood. Yeah, those are pros doing their job. In a lot of cases, there is no "restarts", as at this level - it won't be! At any job.
      And at the end, let's not forget about Edda Dell'Orso too, it wasn't just a Morricone.
      Note: It happens very often. It is in the same way as something like when the "Accept" (with Wolf Hoffmann) was cooperating with Prague Orchestra, at a Wacken festival ("Princess of the Dawn" and more). Or the same with them playing with Ava Rebekah Rahman. At this level those are just pros doing their jobs. At this level - without mistakes.
      Edit: grammar...

    -Moin! means morning
    -Moin! Moin! means "Moijen Morgen" (Beautiful morning)
    Moin Moin you can say at any time! It always refers to the following morning!
    I noticed Tuva Semmingsen (the "wah-wah Lady") is wearing a pistol earring!

    This tune is not (!) by the "The Danish National Symphony Orchestra - they "just" play it. This tune is by the Italian composer Ennio Morricone! Morricone is more important than the Orchestra. He must be mentioned in the video title!
    btw: Morricone also composed the music to the iconic movie "Once upon a time in the west" - and many many others.
