    I bought a GB350 before Xmas and just had its 1000km service. I’m glad I picked it over the Rebel 500. Thanks for the videos.

    I figured that the shifter would get a mention. Went into the local shop with a view to buying a bike yesterday. Checked out the GB350 and saw what you were talking about in regards to the shifter. Didn’t have the bike in stock that I was after, so will have to check in again when I get back from some holidays. I was keen initially to get a postie bike, after seeing some of the adventures folk were having on them, but after watching the videos you put up one the CB125f, that looked like more fun to me. Would like to get it in Blue, but no longer an option.

    • @ridewithwarro
      @ridewithwarro  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      i found the cb125f a pretty good little bike and i thought better value by far than a ct125 trail at near double the price.
      this gb350 i think is really just a bigger version of the cb125f with a bit more power on tap.
      you can ride the cb125f near anywhere just not as fast to get there as the gb350 but if your adventure is pretty close the cb125f will do the job

    Great video, Warro. Thanks for the update on the GB350! I agree about the colour options. I'd like a gloss white one. Also, it would be nice to have fork boots--like they H'ness. I'm curious if Kent offer a high performance camshaft for the GB350? The one you fitted to Classic RE added a few extra ponies which seemed to be worth the upgrade.

    • @ridewithwarro
      @ridewithwarro  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      the cam on the 350 certainly helped. but i still think this gb350 would beat it to 100 kph. on flat ground it will run 110 pretty easy too. speedo reading.
      its power if you call 20 hp power is in the first 3 gears. can go from start to 80 kph pretty quick.
      i think its not that far behind a stock classic 500 and near vibe free

      @@ridewithwarro You just need a few more bits on the Enfield Brother. I guarantee mine's everything the 500 is but smooth like jazz. Runs right the hell up to the speed limiter no problem on the freeways and pulls 3rd gear to well over 60 mph. Leave them Hondas alone 😂

    Excellent stuff. My dad took a test ride on the triumph speed 400 today. He said fantastic performance, however uncomfortable and missing that character. He prefers the 350 classic. I’m sure the Honda would have been a contender too, if available in the uk.

    Thanks Warro. Agree about the colours. Last year saw some really cool designs in the Indian market...gloss black with super-nice horizontal stripe decals for example. Interested in your comment that maybe it's the Japanese market that likes the matt. Not a fan of any matt paint on a bike really that I can think of. Still, yours looks cool. Ride safe mate.

      colour either makes or breaks. in my clips you'll see a yellow sports car. when i purchased it was a boring dirty black.
      so i rubbed it back and resprayed it yellow and that car gets more comments from people at service stations and when parked than any car ive owned.

    Just my opinion but the RE had it all over this Honda

    All very good points. The OEM seat theory across the board will always baffle me. I can only assume they try and make the seats to look good, but with the most cost effective foam products they can find. Sad part is we know Honda knows how to make a soft seat, look at the Monkey seat.
    As you did your review I noticed the passenger foot pegs looked like they were for a modern bike not the GB. I'd just delete them if possible.
    But on the other hand this bike comes with a nicer looking exhaust, bigger front fender, center stand, rear grab handle, better looking headlight, better speedometer, better Honda badges, better fuel tank angle, better key ignition placement, and chrome accents VS the more expensive CL500. Go figure? Hands down I'd choose your GB over the CL as a Scrambler. Not to mention air cooled vs liquid equals less headaches. Cheaper too. I agree on the color offerings. I like the blue vs boring black though.

    • @ridewithwarro
      @ridewithwarro  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      such kind words there F/N. you pointed out some very key points on this bike. overall if i can improve on the seat side i'd be happy there plus i want to hit a few dirt roads too.

    • @frednerks1379
      @frednerks1379 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I own a CL500 and it's not a fair comparison. The GB is a City bike and has firmer shocks at both ends.
      The CL is made for what Warro rides over in the bush tracks, slower going and climbing over ridges and small rocks.
      The CL500 has a firm seat, and it's good for 2 to 3 hours non stop in the saddle, and I expect the GB would be similar as they feel the same.

    • @findingneutral
      @findingneutral 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @frednerks1379 I was using it as an example. I actually really like the CL and have wanted one a while. I feel Honda gyped us though and should have given it more bits like the GB got.

    When checking the oil, the crankcase is so long bike must be 0 degrees both ways. That lousy little dip stick will barely show oil otherwise.
    Next problem came from the back seat. Not enough room. Both of us 70 kg but not short. The split seat I can tell you is much better but after talking to Honda Australia they are not included as an accessory. Important one direct from overseas $340 incl freight.
    Looking at fitting a CB500x rear if can get the correct teeth numbers. Mainly for two up.
    Have fitted crash Bars $130,windscreen $100 and my old saddle bags. Waiting for the Honda knee rubbers, rear rack and fork boots.
    Split seat is a game changer.
    Cheers

      Shall try and put a few links.
      Had a RE bullet 500 1990 model with gear shift on the rt. Spent to many hours fixing to keep going. Had to clench teeth once revs got up, so stuck to a Honda instead of Classic 350 even with the engine mods.

    My top 5 dislikes with the GB350 so far:
    1. Lack of USB charger as standard.
    2. The metal arms the pillion pegs are attached to. It has an overly modern shape/look compared to the rest of the bike.
    3. The bike can be a bit jumpy while it's still warming up. Slightly faster idle, etc.
    4. Related, I'd love a tachometer.
    5. And, I'd love the brakes to have a tiny bit more bite.
    Nice video as usual, Warro. No worries with my seat so far thankfully.

    • @ridewithwarro
      @ridewithwarro  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      see i find the brakes ok but in the beginning i did give them a few harder stops...lol now with 450 klm on clock
      usb i dont think ive even used that on the endield 350s but i did fit one to the honda ct125 trail. well actually to both bikes.
      that jumpy fast idle throttle is something to keep an eye on but it settle down pretty quick after a couple of minutes ride.
      i ran a spark plug wrap around tacho on the ct125 trails. easy to fit and cost about $20 off ebay
      the seat is my main concern unless i buy two good slabs of rump steak...lol that may cure that side

Apart from the colour, this bike would probably suit me very well, but I just don't know if I can be bothered! As you said Warro, the Vespa beats them all... Keen to see your clips showing you flogging it on the dirt and highway (but don't wreck it like the Hunter!). Rump! 😂😂😂 A classic way of saying fat😂😂. I actually don’t mind matte colour schemes. Bugger to keep marks & scratches away. Get yourself a good quality matte detailer spray. Thanks Warriors for the laughs! Enjoy the Honda!

      My Kawasaki KLR650 has the original seat which I find to be comfortable. My brother on a Suzuki DR650 and I rode 4,000 kms coast to coast. I found the seat of the Kawasaki KLR650 to be comfortable. My brother had to use an Airhawk pad for comfort on the terrible Suzuki DR650 seat.
