Amazing how much valuable Knowledge Pixley can teach in 5 mins !! Back hand reachin, Thumb blockin , elbows in , tie clearing 💎 you the man Micheal !!!
It took me 15+ years to learn a lot of these hand-fighting wrestling techniques. I should have waited for this 5 min vid from Pix! Would have saved me a lot of time..⌛👀
I remember learning all this stuff gradually from pixs in season yall getting to see it in 5 minutes is a blessing for y’alls game I did this through out my whole hand fight in this video as well Pixley the goat that is all 🧚♂️🐐
This is a great quick reference for all the good stuff I should be doing. My wrestling is tragic so having a quick video full of good ideas is a gift. Thank you 😊
Thanks Michael. This really helped! Short, impactful video. You're a really good teacher. And a savage when it comes to grappling! All the best for a really bright future mate
That initial push on the snap-down is a nice tip. Light Feather here, always have problems breaking bigger guys down, gonna try to get that arm extension first from now on.
Thank you guys for putting out this content. It’s extremely hard to find a gym that has such a good grasp of the entire Jiu-Jitsu/ wrestling game. The gym I train at is really good but I feel lacks expertise on the wrestling game that would really benefit students. I’ve been recently watching the content on your channel and trying to patch the holes in my game. Since there are no PSF gyms around me this is the next best thing. Good health and God bless!
Elite tips thanks! Great content as always (A freezeframe of the key points of contact would help a lot - almost didn’t want to comment this as it’s free expert advice and much appreciated!)
I have 3 questions: 1) when you circle to the right to snap down is that because you are circling in the direction they have the collar tie? 2) Does the direction you circle change if the leg you have forward changes? Ie southpaw vs orthodox? 3) When should your grips be loose and flowly (as yours appear to be) vs hard, rigid and held tightly for more than 5 seconds? Thank you 🙏
Please bring this guy and the Dfresh crew to New Zealand we don’t have wrestling in high school like the states. Granted we have rugby its similar but not the same
In my experience the teaching style from wrestling is that they show you a technique and tell you to go do it. In bJJ instructors tend to go over 30 different scenarios involving the techniques. Bjj i find they make it to technical from the start and it's slows progress for beginners.
@@RitzCaraldo You wrote that "in bJJ instructors..." You wrote as if you have experience that could be generalized. You critiqued the way it is taught. Why did you even bother to make that comment if you are now going to minimize your generalizations? It doesn't seem you've enlightened the discourse.
@@RitzCaraldo Learn to write about what you have more experience concerning. How many wrestlers have you taken a class from or trained under? And how many bjj instructors? And cut out the hyperbole. 30 different scenarios?
Pixley, have you heard of Jason Morris? He was a collegiate all american wrestler and Olympic medal winning judoka. I would be interested in your opinion of his style?
@@DaisyFreshUSA Thanks! he would use alot of standing Kimura hip toss moves but would defend the big lift counter by weaving his leg in so he couldn't be lifted . Then would launch.
In the uh bend of the arm.... hahahah 😅 iv been struggling wat to call that place for years it's not really the elbo and we have armpit for the shoulder what the hell is the bend in the arm called
Tips from the man himself! I swear part of me wishes that every time Pixley spoke, it was in the voice of Khamzat. “I kill errbody with da snap down brotha”
Mike, I see a lot of people taking mercy grips with hands, High level grapplers guys. Is that a good practice, for no-gi? It seems more like a stall technique, poor juijitsu. What do you think?
Pixely keeps you off balance the whole fking time he hand fights. As soon as you're bracing for a pull, he's pushing. Pulling, snatching. Kazushi indeed.
Michael seams like a really good teacher. Gets direct and to the point without having to give a TED talk about concepts, details and theories etc.
Thank you for watching!
Very good teacher
This was actually hard to film because he was showing so much simple, game changing stuff, I didn't know...pix you're an animal lol
Would have loved to see Will Smith try and slap you at the Oscars Jorge 👀 ❤️
Hi Jorge, would you be willing to share the camera and editing software you used, the quality is great. Thanks for the content!

It's insane how this video was recommended to me out of no-where, and I click on it to see my best friend throughout my teens still being a beast.
So simple, but so clear that I don't have a single clue what I'm doing in standup, lol. Things like this def help me.

That's entirely dependent on the instructors and the ability level of the students.
@@Spiritof_76 why even bother making that comment? Read the first three words of my comment. Reading comprehension is basically zero at this point.

Pixley and Couch need to just come out already. We all can see. Sick detail. Need a Fanatics video
does any of this change when playing opposite stances?
We'll ask Pix! Thank you for watching!
Same thing just use your hands to move your opponent. You can be in whatever stance you feel comfortable in
Did Couch get Pixley pregnant there at the end?
Thank you for watching!
Can he do one on mirror stance??
You got it. Thank you for watching!

Bang the head get the guy moving. Grabbing the hands there’s no real offense from there unless you’re arm dragging or using it to get to your tie ups
Ok, tTy Mike! Are doing west coast Adcc in vegas?
Larry Sierra I’ll be there
You can show them how to do it all you want but they will never be executed as good as the champ himself. Pixley is just a monster! Always has been.
