- A few years ago, I went and visited the B-Team Jiu-Jitsu school in Austin, Texas.
The entire training trip left a good impression on me, but the drills I learned really stuck more than anything and I teach this specific drill a ton to my students.
In their Wrestling class we played this game called the Hug-Snap-Tap Drill.
All my time Wrestling (13 years) I knew these movements, or at least I practiced all 3, but never really formulated a game with them.
They showed this game and it just made sense, especially for beginners who don't understand a proper Grappling stance or hand fighting.
If you do Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling, or any other form of grappling, then this simple drill (or really 4 drills) will help you develop a feel and understanding of proper hand fighting in its simplest form while also being a fun warm up/cool down when training.
This video comes from a recent Seminar in Montreal Canada where I taught for 2-Hours at H2o MMA.
If you'd like to have me out for a Seminar, please email me at Brandonreed3x@yahoo.com
Very nice drill man, thanks for sharing. I feel like people are affraid of trying out grappling because of a lack of goals, this drill clearly sets goals and is easy to understand. Thanks!
Yep... This is one of the best training drills on the subject online. Great work Coach.
Thanks for sharing.
So glad I ran into your vid. Always wanted to take wrestling at 54 lol
Who the hell is that one guy who hit the dislike button? SMH This stuff is awesome!

Awesome.
Great breakdown. 👊🏼
Thanks.
In a match if you get a snap how do you exploit that? Are you trying to take back? Great drills!!
You go fir front headlock and advance position from there.
just trying to run behind them and take the back, or go for head and arm traingles like Guilliotines, Darces, or Anocandas
Also sets up attacking the legs as they posture up.
