I'm glad you made this video, I was going to speak on this as well, I notice a lot of creators wanting to take a step back for various reasons but we can't forget the number 1 thing about content creation is being able to have fun and do what YOU like as a creator.
I am happy to hear that you take your time and enjoy what you want to do. I think content creators or any creative people need space that is not contaminated by noises from others, society, or even oneself. When I stop pushing myself, letting go of a sense of obligation and any pressure, new ideas naturally come to my mind. Corey, thank you for reminding me of such a thing. Social media is a beast..😂😭…i get what you’re saying and believe me, youtube is slowly going the way of viral media…it use to be a space for creatives but now you see more tik tok videos and shorts on here than anything….i get it, money is the vehicle for it all now….if you can, stay true to who you are…your content is good👍….

As per usual, you definitely hit the nail on the head!!! Many times I toyed with the idea of switching up my content. But I can’t bc my channel is absolutely who I am. My pain birthed my channel so why would I? I’m not half naked or drama filled anddd my platform is God based. ALL God lol so we ALL know how that can be. One thing I can set in and be grateful is the fact that I’m doing what God wants me to do. Thank you Corey for your genuine self. You’re a real One no doubt. Yo Corey your videos have helped me out a lot throughout the years and I can relate to a lot of this video in my own ways in my life currently. It’s tough when you’re working and trying to progress but the progression isn’t showing much. I think that you should seriously consider doing more long format podcast interview videos or even internal pods. Have your insightful topics that you usually bring up and use them to dive deeper into a pod and then also have that with a guest. If you started a pod I would listen to that immediately and also you remind me of that person in a friend group that everyone mentions “he’s always having deep convos and I opened up about a lot with him”. You seem to be a person who values trust and I think guests would sense that from you and youd be able to create a comfortable space for vulnerability and just lead to rich discussions. You should give it a thought.

This may rub you the wrong way, but I hope that you take it as constructive criticism. I've been a sub since you were around 3k subs and you mainly only did the black Greek life vids. Those videos were good because you knew a lot about the topic and could create content that was beyond general. Your more recent stuff is mediocre at best. I encourage you to go back and watch your videos from 2023 and ask yourself if your channel had to be categorized what would the category be? What unique knowledge are you providing in your videos that a viewer can't find in several other videos? If you're getting discouraged by not getting the growth in numbers that you wanted, then really challenge yourself to put in the work to develop yourself to be able to create unique content that's not easily duplicated that people get value from. You had that when the started the channel, and you really haven't had it since you pivoted. I wrote this not to bring you down, but in the hopes that it resonates with you. I want to see more successful black content creators but I don't see enough putting in the work to make that success happen. Good luck bro
