Fell in love with this brand when I saw the FD87 review that Nick from Aquaholic did.
This boat is no different. Copious amounts of storage along with the quality of guest accommodations really make this a gem of a yacht.

@@NautiStyles : Great tour Victoria, Rico, & of course Elise. The FD87 was already one of my favorites & with this yacht they have added space & tweaked some of the great features found on the FD87 making them even better. This one is definitely getting added to my favorite list.

I love how she's not entirely sure about anything on this "boat" apart from the scripted features she's memorised

    • @ItchyME78
      @ItchyME78 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I did notice what you mean by scripted features, but I enjoyed the insight she gave to the different models and build options and designs that the owner has control over. I think the "not entirely sure" part is from being derailed from her normal sales pitch (that she's probably repeated a dozen times by that point in the yacht show) by Victoria noticing something "shiny" and wanting to open every single drawer and cabinet. It kept me smiling and entertained.

    • @RandomshitkickeR
      @RandomshitkickeR 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

To me, it looked as if she only knew about certain parts of this vessel (the parts she researched last week) and stuck to her sales pitch for the rest. Really underwhelming, considering nautistyles was pointing out things that "whatsherface" didnt notice even though once said things were pointed out, she gave the whole "we did this because of that" spiel......ugh...end rant

Many years ago I worked in the engineering department for a harbour board. Among other things, I helped design marinas etc. I became good friends with the harbour pilot. I used to talk about the boats I like in the marinas. He called every one of them gin-palaces. Pointed out that most of them were built for looks, not sea-worthieness. Anything other than smooth conditions, they were only good for sitting in the marina. He showed me the boats that could seriously cope with rough conditions. Completely changed my view on boats. My favorite ended up being a 65ft steel fishing boat that had been converted to a luxury yacht for the boatyards owner. That thing could handle just about any conditions and had a decent range.

Amazed at the amount of space/"beamyness" of this ship. The way they did the outdoor areas, with that hot tub up front and kind of tucked out of the way is super smart. Seen other yatchs where the hot tub is smack in the middle of the bridge deck or fly deck, takes up a ton of room. Love that they made the crew quarters NICE, Victoria didn't mention it but that "beach club" is obviously the crew lounge when the ship is underway, ingenious dual purpose use of the space. Also the owner has impeccable tastes as far as the décor, it feels like a home and has a certain timeless look to it. Some of these huge yachts look like a dang pachinko parlor inside with all the crystal, gold, glitz, everything must be shiny/reflective, the questionable art pieces, etc.

    A few things…
-Halloween??!? Wow, you guys have been holding out on us. One a week isn’t enough, we need more NautiStyles!
-You need a shower equation to rate each yacht, something like: staterooms times en suites plus persons-per shower divided by the length of the yacht (in meters) minus wet-heads equals shower rating. Or something that makes actual sense…
-Love Rico’s Greg Knoll tribute shorts, long live the Bull, the king of big wave surfing!

    HI Victoria and Rico!!!
Just another well thought out lady for sure!!! And, I, like Rico, love the technical, nerdy-geeky side of Yachts!! Whoever the tech/mechanic for this yacht is, I want to make a comment or really A COMPLIMENT with regards to the "P-touch" tape and "blue masking" tape used as indicators for "what goes where!" I don't know if anyone else noticed, but the best way of knowing how well someone does their job, or how much they really care, is the "little details!!" YES, "the devil is in the details," and having said that, notice that all those P-touch and Blue tape indicators have a "little removal tab" included, as it makes for easy removal!! Also note, that is something that the person who did the labeling 🏷 did themselves, NO... you cannot buy P-touch or Blue tape with "removal tabs" already made!!!
Soooo, to the person that did that... Well done, You!!!
...... 🤪🤣🤭 ..... "I only want 🤏🏼 just a little more space on the yacht..." says the new owner... Why... 🙄 ... "ummmm...., OK, SO MY THERAPIST THINKS I HAVE TWO-FOOTITIS!!" "Funny thing though, I don't notice it, even a little bit!!" 😅
    Great video again you guys!!
The outtakes almost ALWAYS kill me...!!! Keep em' coming!!!
ANYWAY, KEEP ON KEEPING ON BROTHER AND SISTER WATERIDERS!!!!!!!!!!
    PEACE!!!!!!!!!!🤘🏼

I like this one very much! Very livable and comfortable. Something I always wonder about is why do these yachts always have permanent made bed areas that take up so much room? Why not some Murphy bed setups and reconfigure living areas instead of mattresses taking up so much space? You could add living space to the crew quarters that way. Lol, I guess I am saying I would design my yacht differently.

A very nice boat. I loved the owners interior choices. I really liked that center hydraulic platform in the larger hydraulic platform. With that you won’t even need a passaral. You can use that for stern to berthing. Not to mention. It’s great for dive activities. The only negative I had was the insane number of pillows on the sectional. I really liked the crew quarters. So many yachts, the crew quarters look like they were done as cheaply as they could. Owners spend millions building the boat and cheap out on crew quarters. Tired of seeing white formica with a wood trim for cramped crew quarters.

If you listen carefully, the salesperson, when showing many of the features, states "this is another customization", i.e. expensive option!

The Horizon FD range, like the FD78 & FD87 (redesignated FD80 & FD92 respectively), are ********/********!!! (This is me being unable to find a word, or the words that can truly express how I feel about these truly remarkable vessels).
As You know my health situation, means I get to watch many many walkthrough videos. Which has allowed me, in my 3 to 4 short years of watching Superyacht Walkthrough videos. To have an idea of my favourite types of vessels, in each class of build etc. I don't think I've ever chosen a total fav, as too many too list, and even then too many to list in each classification. However after seeing this FD92 (Is it the 2nd, or 3rd Horizon FD92 built?), I'm sure this is a perfect contender for my absolute favourite. Although still too many to list lol.
I'm not 100% sure, did yourselves on Nautistyles, or Nick on Aquaholic, mention during the first Horizon FD87/FD92 walkthrough video, that there was the option to add a flybridge, if an owner wanted one, (not that it needed it). Now upon seeing a Flybridge incorporated in the design. Just proves how remarkable Horizon are, at innovative design, and unique styling techniques, and so so much more. Nothing shows this more, in my humble opinion, than the innotive way that Horizon has placed the owners hot tub to oneside. Which seems to work very well, and doesn't impede the Bridges view. The external storage is "Awesome", so are the extra bar areas. I'm a great fan of those side doors, that protect the aft cockpit from strong winds, or heavy sea spray, whilst in heavy seas. Let's not mention the tender lol. If the beam is over 23ft, that tender must be very close to it. The cool bathing platform. with the owners extra design featured raised platform (or as Vic and Rico call it the cocktail bench lol), is very clever. Sorry for long comment, but I love Horizon. And you've not even entered the interior yet.
The Flybridge is well laid out, with a nice upper helm area. The other external areas speak for themselves. Inside the interior of the Bridge Deck, the ony thing I'd add, is a set of sliding doors invetween the Helm Station and upper salon seating area. Giving the best of both worlds. Privacy for crew and guests, if underway on a long passage. Or the area opened up, for the clever 360° visibility. The new Princess X80 has a similar trideck set up. They have the sliding door concept I mention. When you tour one. You'll see what I mean. Best if both worlds.
The cockpit has a beautiful dinning area, and that day headwith an access from inside and outside, is another truly clever concept. The Galley is great for either owner operators having it open planned, or enclosed if crew and guests want to be seperate. The main deck master, and guest suites are misleading. Cause when you woke up each day on board. You'd have to keep pinching yourself, cause you couldn't wrap your head around the fact that your on a sub 100ft yacht, and not on a 150 upwards vessel. All adding to the unique way, that Horizon utilises every inch of space.
Once again I'm gobsmacked by the amazing beachclub/crew area. I think all superyachts should build their crew quaters, to the same guest - or as 'near to' guest spec build qualities.
The engine room is nice a spacious, and immaculate.
"I've seen a few walkthrough videos, where the tank deck area, can be entered into, via a small door in the engine room. That opens up to a fore to aft small passage way. This allows the water and fuel tanks to be opened checked. Do most have these. Cause always like to see the tank deck, as potential for extra storage etc"?
Elise (sorry if name spelt wrong). Please can you arrange it for Victoria and Rico to be one of the first people to do a walkthrough on the FD 100 once it's ready.
    Many thanks
    Didger
PS: Room for one more if you can lol. Oy kidding I'm a very long way from visiting Team Vico lol.
    :-) x

@@NautiStyles you know me so well now. Only cause we share almost similar taste in Vessels.
I guess my longer than usual reply gave it away too. Lol. Not that I do many lol.
I love describing what I see.
Elise definitely knows her onions. I think she could give Rico a run for Co Capt lol. He might have to get ships cst/Bilge Rat cameraman again lol. Luvs ya really Rico lol. 🤣🤣🤣

First thing I noticed was that fire suppression system, it’s huge!. I don’t have a captains license, but what tonnage license do you need for that?

The Captain's Bridge looks like a DJ Console ... fate?! Awsome presenters on this one ... Its nice to see you having fun with your presentation. Other tours are less interesting and don't mention everything that you take the time to explain!

Hiya Vico, a wind storm outside at the moment, okay, all day, and a cold one too. Now, why would you hide V in the master wardrobe? Let alone three of her in there? Wonderful to have Elise back, she is such a pleasant imparter of knowledge about the boat. She knows what and where everything is, even the Rico friendly parts. Or should that be, especially the Rico parts?
A great yacht beautifully appointed by Horizon and the owner, or his wife? So many places where you can change for owners choice, often the exception, on Horizon more the rule. Thank you all for this wonderful tour, and Horizon, Elise needs a raise if you want to keep her long term, and she is so worth keeping.
    Stay safe, Steve...
