Had mine for 6 months killed 2 deer this past fall with it. I upgraded the sight, rest, peep, and stabilizer and added some speed buttons and monkey tails to the string. It's a good bow. My pro shop guys sneer at it but it shoots really accurately with Easton Axis 5mm arrows and Easton Bowhunter arrows. I run 300 and 340 spine cut to 28 inches with the bow set to 60lbs. It's just a lot of fun to shoot compared to my Bear Resurgence and Hoyt. It deserves more respect than it gets. Yes it's made in China, so is my TV, phone, most the plastic crap in my house and just about every appliance I own. Outside of the States, Sanlida is the bow of choice for many of the world's archery competitors.

You could very safely get away with a 400 spine arrow at your draw-length at 70 lbs
@StanielP I do shoot 400 spine through my Sanlida with it set at 55 and 60 pounds but my Bear and Hoyt tune best with 300 spine when set at 70 pounds, using heavy inserts.

Been out of archery for quite a few years...well since my divorce (when I sold everything, lol). My new bride of 11 years bought the Sanlida Dragon x8 this past Christmas for me. Looks to be a great 'get back in the game' bow. Thanks for the video! Well done!

Mine came with the section where the string meets the suppressor with serving on it and a note on the sight said to remove the clear plastic under the light cap 😅

But would be cool is if you put a good rest and sight on it and equivalent arrows as your Hoyt and shot a competition against yourself using both bows. That would make for a hell of a video!

nice setup. i noticed many of the guys reviewing this bow just installed the rest and sight and shot fairly accurately. that would mean this bow manufacture basically is giving you a pre tuned bow, right down to the tubeless peepsight , loop and sight pins. the group this fellow shot at 20 yds has to come from a tuned bow.
Love mine! arrows are really heavy. Changed to a 10 inch stabilizer really quieted it down.
Sweet set up for someone getting into bow hunting or maybe having as a backup bow

Hey, I'm knew to archery, you talked about serving in the string where the string stopper was, can you elaborate more on that?
I love mine, this is it's third season in use. I changed the rear peep for an aluminum piece that had a larger diameter and the rest. Otherwise, it has remained the same. It's been serviced by two smiths at our local Bass Pro Shop. Both were really impressed with the bow as well.

If I wanted to go kill a deer with this bow would I need to change the arrows or anything or can I just buy this bow get broad heads shoot it for awhile to get used to it and kill a deer ?

What are the Cams made of? is there any plastic parts on it .... looks like a great bow for the price I have only shot trad bows even have made a few myself, and make my own strings, but thinking about getting a compound bow. However I don't want to pay a whole lot of money for one ... $269 is something I would gamble on, but don't want something that would break easily since I don't know much about compound bows or repairing them.

I’ve never bow hunted before, not trying to spend a crazy amount of money. This bow seems to be the best starter bow no? What’s even the farthest you would normally want to try to shoot a deer from with a bow anyways?
The arrow it comes with they shoot 115 mph I think

Those arrows that came with the package are .500 spine and way too underspined for the draw weight and drawlength.
If anybody is watching this in 2024… they have the x9 on sale now for the 269.99 price. That’s a steal!
